Great products RCE!
Question about the 0's- what would you recommend getting for the suspension to compliment these in terms of bushings or LCA/UCA?

I will say that it depends. Yes you can go to town on bushings and that will make a good improvement (icing on the cake) but depending on your needs you may not need anything.
Rear camber bushings or rear LCAs will be helpful but not 100% required. More so with a bigger drop. - Andy |

Any chance you could dyno a set of Koni yellows and include that in the dyno post? I'm guessing there are a lot of us would love to know how they compare.
About the conical washer, is that required with your yellows and com-c mounts? I'm not completely sure of the purpose of those. Another amazing looking pair of products guys! |

For the conical washer, you need it there IF you are no longer using the OEM upper spring perch (which has it's own washer welded on top). So for RCE Yellow peeps no need for the conical washer. Have a few more products coming soon as well *. - andy *Racecomp Engineering BRZ/FR-S Tarmac lowering springs. Sorry I'm really new to suspension stuff. Why do I need aftermarket LCA/UCA? for chamber adjustment?

The car doesn't have any camber adjustment from the factory. With a strut you can move the position of the top mount to gain negative camber, or use bolts between the strut and knuckle that allow movement. In the rear the only way to gain negative camber is to shorten the upper control arm, or lengthen the lower control arm. The top factory arm can effectively be shortened via bushings, but they are a pain in the butt to install and adjust. The lower factory arm has been adjusted with strut bolts, there's a thread about this that you should read first though.

Some "noob" questions for anyone that has the patience to answer... long time lurker, first time poster and I don't own a BRZ....yet.
Was planning on just going with RCE Yellow springs but this Tarmac 0 option looks interesting. If my goal was a high performance dd that could provide the final cure for any porsche envy I may still have, would this offer tangible advantages over a Yellow springs & Koni combination? I know coil overs leave more room for larger wheels/tires, and allow for deeper drops, but if I am focused on the "go" and not concerned with the "show"....does it make sense to just go straight for the Tarmac 0 when the time comes? Thanks, Greg |

I'm very interested in the Tarmac 0's. I think this will give me the clearance I need on my Enkei RPF1's 18X9.5 +38's up front. Love the color, and the options for what I need are perfect. Seems like a great, high quality product!
PM'ing for pricing. |

yes its a collaborative effort thru our sister company GTWORX. We already have 08-2013 WRX fitment, 2010 LEGACY GT fitment(due in 2 weeks) and 08-2013 STI fitments. Our sister company GTWORX started working with BILSTEIN USA back in early 2009 to develop a oem fitment option for the 08+ WRX which had ZERO shock options. So this isnt a "new" thing for GTWORX to co-brand with BILSTEIN on the fixed perch style strut/shock option.
So yes we establish the type of valving we want and for what range of spring rates and the drop. We work directly with the engineers at Bilstein west to find the best profile for our needs. This is done over a period of 2 weeks on Socal roads. We then take a sample set back to the east coast and put roughly 2-3000 east coast , horrible road miles on the prototypes. Its then signed off on and approved for production. Prior to that we normally try about 20 different valvings. Hope that help understand the process. Keep in mind that option from GTWORX is 6 months out at a minimum. Myles Williams RCE founder. |
