Oil cooler needed? Don't know? See some results inside

I've been monitoring the oil temps through my Scan gauge and driving home in stop and go with keeping it under 4,000rpm my temps top out at 212f. Where does the ECU read the temp? I assume that's coming out of the engine?

There's a oil temp sensor right by the oil filter.

I'm installing sc in coming weeks, and will gladly try and capture same stuff, before and after oil & IC temps; logging using ECUTek which uses the factory sensor

Robi saw 290-295 on track (not 100% sure on where that was read from). I saw 230-235 on track in 87 degree weather reading it under the filter. On the street in the same location in regular driving I never see more than 175-180, if I beat on it I can get close to 200.

When I said I would see higher oil temps, I meant doing the same test I did today but ambient temp. at 90+.

When I install the temp gauge to the oil galley I will do comparisons to the OEM sensor.

If that's the case,

#1) He has not been reading the forum in which vendors are saying an oil cooler is ABSOLUTELY necessary even for a DD (thus why independently test it myself on harsher conditions).

#2) He didn't read my first post to see what type of tests I did.
