That's largely what I was running at the track last year (Perrin CBE + 100 octane). Surprising that it may have been good for 193 whp.

the engine is made to run on 98 octane, so running it on 95 (the only one we have available in South Africa) is not ideal. I'm using liqui moly octane plus, which as far as i've been able to find out has no reported long term effects on the engine, plugs or sensors.
The engine runs so much more smoothly since i put that stuff in it's hard to imagine it has any detrimental effect.

No tuning?
Performance exhaust? Like what?

Just E85 with a little leftover 91 octane mixed in, maybe a gallon or two. And this is the current tune being run in the vehicle for E85.

There is no other parts added to the vehicle and this was run 13 for the car on this dyno. I also do not usually post Air/Fuel ratios and we have been routinely checking the Advance Multiplier and it is always showing 1.00.

I doubt the engine would see any noticeable gains on 100+e85. Hell I doubt it would see gains above 91+e60. On 96 octane a friend was tuning almost the same timing as a lot of people do on e85. You'll hit the mbt wall eventually.

it's a custom exhaust that is locally developed for/by Subaru South Africa. They fit it on every BRZ before they deliver to the owner.

Not sure we are on the same page.
Here in Australia, we can get sucrogen E85 if we chose to, which is 108 octane.
The stuff at the petrol station, is at best 105 octane.
I wasn't talking about adding 91 to E85, but what E85 is made from.

Ahh, very skeptical about your numbers without tuning unless stock is +185whp on the dyno you used.

stock 86 (not mine) did 146hp on the same dyno on the same day...
that said, i also am very surprised by my numbers.. but they did 2 runs and both were similar...

figures are in kW and Nm, but you can work it out:

46.5 more HP or a 32% gain over stock with just exhaust? Something smells fishy to me.

exhaust and octane booster, which i think made more difference than the exhaust
they said stock cars normally do between 115-120 kW (+/- 160hp) on their dyno
anyway, i can feel the difference ...
