Got my OFT, set up 1.33 beta and definitely feel a difference from stock. Real happy with it. Curious to see how much my butt compares to a real dyno.

Now debating if I should go headers. Shiv, would I be able to use stage 2 with headers equipped with cat converters?

I'd say that most of the advantages of running a header come from the cat delete. So I'm not sure how much of a help it is to run aftermarket heads that have high-flow cats. Might be best to either stick with the Stage 1 map or just go with a catless header and run Stage 2. I recommend the latter

There is at least one company producing a header with a hi-flow cat where the design of the header (pipe length, collector choice) appears to not be compromised by the addition of the cat, so it's a valid question. If he goes with such a header due to emissions inspection concerns, which map would you recommend?

Could you please email me directly (shiv@vishnutuning.com) and confirm your forum ID in the email. I sent tuned roms/xdf to two customers with your ROM type already but I can't confirm if one of them was you. Either way, the ROMs are ready to go, just email me directly.

Cheers

is "ZA1J700K" just another stock ecu code used to identify an FRS/BRZ. I had a code with a "J" in it. Is that because my FRS is in Boston, Ma or this part of the world. People in New Zeland will be using a different code more specific to emissions in their country? Their isn't anything more unique about my code or ZA1J700K?

Just trying to understand it.

Thanks
Josh

Yes, cars from different markets use different rom ids. Sometimes there is variation between them, sometimes not. I'm not sure if there are any significant changes between markets with this car.

Mapping differences between different rom types are usually isolated to differences in emissions/diagnostic related parameters. So you will sometimes see differences in what diagnostic code routines are enabled/disabled and minor differences in open/closed loop fuel transitions. Ignition and fuel maps are exactly the same from what I've seem so far.

Me too! In fact, I've been driving around with the fuel light so I'm ready to refuel with corn juice as soon as the map is released.

It's coming. The map is currently being tested by a few beta testers. In the meantime, I'm working on some more international ROM support. Hope to release both at the same time. Along with all maps revised for lower idle speed at cold start.

Damn I offered to Beta it would have really enjoyed doing so. Looking forward to its release.

Hey I offered first! Granted without data logs its hard to offer him feedback that isn't butt dyno. I did however suggest that altitude up here in Utah might be a tune issue that I could help beta test with. Hmmmm guess I'll just have to wait like everyone else...
