Sure..but nobody said anything about a black...anything. the options were the gauge only...or the gauge with the silver vent pieces.

Mine came with the vent, but then again - I ordered the silver trim.

That being said, check out other vendor pricing for this gauge. It's $60 for the vent, $15 for the silver trim.

Is it possible that FA20Club was giving us a heck of a deal by including the $60 vent with the $15 silver trim? Perhaps. Did anyone order the the gauge without the trim and get the vent with it?

WTH, I would have ordered the silver trim if it came with the vent. No info of that anywhere, now I feel I'd been had since it has been advertised incorrectly for the silver trim option.

Not quite sure how I am going to install this... thought it was just plug and play, now it looks like I am going to have pull the vent apart, drill holes and fill up the extra hole space with glue or whatever... Time, sourcing drill/right drill bit,get glue, ****ing around and not sure how it's meant to be done... didn't want to do this ghetto style and I was just going to pull the gauge out to return to stock if I sell it later, ffs.

Yeah this is definitely odd. I ordered the optional trim and everything was already put together. I just yanked out my OEM vent piece (trim, slats, and housing) and plugged in the FA20Club/P3Cars unit with the cable going through a gap between the dash and the air vent. Click.

Bro, take it easy. I don't think you need to drill or cut anything. There is a DIY in he forum about installing a gauge using the OEM vent, and its extremely simple and straight forward.

lets end it here. the gauges are not assembled. check p3cars site the silver trim which is the vent is 15.00 you then have to still pay them extra if you want it assembled. for the GB all those who got the silver trim P3 actually installed them for free since it was a larger order.
