okay, so i had posted a while back about getting a custom intake made, and that plan has fallen through. Went over to the fabber's shop earlier today, and unless we cut some of the frame, there's no way to get a 3" pipe down to where i wanted. SO! we've come up with a different idea. an aluminum pipe to where the stock intake is, but with a place for the MAF, so that we can use aftermarket intakes.

any interest? I know people are gonna want to see results of this after the fact, and i plan on doing this reguardless, but do y'all want updates on this or no?

also, he make try to custom fabricate some new UEL headers for me, so they're not right under the intake piping. but we don't know if that'll work yet, since we gotta get my car on the lift to see what he can do.

i'd be interested pending feedback and seeing it on yours.

Tips for anyone purchasing the IC kit and already have the SC installed:

If you want to keep the manifold bolted down and just remove the sc unit, Pull off the back elbow that connects to the throttle body first. Those bolts in the back are a PITA to get to with it in the way.

Its really easy to take those three bottom bolts off of the elbow with an extended Allen key with the ball on the end as it allows you to tighten/loosen on a slight angle.

I have the charger off and just waiting now for the re-delivery tomorrow night. Figured i'd pull everything off to make the install process a little faster.

Also, Radium can't release their catch can kit fast enough for the twins. I had a a bunch of blow by oil in the back of the unit when I took the elbow off, and I just had it off not that long ago to replace those fittings. Was also a small light coating on the actual manifold under the charger.

Radium stated on their FB page the catch can system will release for sale within next few weeks BTW..

@whataboutbob -
I had the guy from Locate Bearings call me, after I placed the order. Apparently the 6203LU only has a seal on one side. He called to confirm this was really what I wanted. I guess the 6203LLU has seals on BOTH sides of the bearings.

Do you recall if the bearing has seals on BOTH sides? If it does, the part number is 6203LLU. He is sending me the 6203LLU, because I can remove one of the seals if necessary.

I actually bought from eBay (pretty sure it's the same company), because I noticed they were in Palm Desert.

Their phone number, if anyone is interested, is 800-409-3632

Kit all working, tested under load seals held tight.
With the BG belt you can certainly hear the noise from the idle pulley.

Going to be interesting what figures I'll get now with a fixed kit as previous dyno I got
250whp 206ftlb with it leaking coolant and a dead coil pack.
75mm 11psi boost.

It's the Tanabe tower brace.
It does not fit with the coolant bottle hence one of the reasons I relocated the coolant bottle as I was not going to waste money purchasing a new brace.
The 2 braces I know fit with the bottle on the kit are the Cusco and Megan.

Hope your kit arrives.

Ordered the Raceseng 72.5 and 70mm pulleys to see what extra gains are obtained by each pulley for R&D purposes, but I will stay on 75mm as 11-12 psi 250whp is plenty fun.

For anyone running a oil catch can:

Would you just put it between the line then enters the plastic intake pipe before the throttle body?
