So let's do some math:
Diameter is -5mm It makes contact with let's say 50% of the circumference 3.14*(5)*.5= 7.85mm smaller belt is needed

question about a boost gauge. one user said that they drilled/tapped the map sensor plate on top of the blower. is there no other way to connect one? I've been searching the forums as well as online, and haven't seen anything else yet.

Nameless showed pics of a plate to allow you to install a boost gauge, I don't know if it's on their site, but you could give them a call. Or, you could call FA20club as about a week later they started making a similar product.

@wrxgoose - theres a fitting on the back of the supercharger thats meant for a vacuum hookup. its an odd size though IIRC but i'm sure its no problem ordering it online. Look a few pages back, pretty sure @Ryan86 pointed this out.
Well IC install is going to have to wait until monday...god damn UPS decided to "delay" my package because of the 2 inches of snow we got...WTF. I hate UPS so much. They need to start delivering saturday like every other goddamn shipping company. |

Here is a pic. We had to taper the hole bigger to get the fitting we have locally in. |

I must have a dud kit, put the car on the dyno and did a load test to find boost pressure forcing coolant out the cooler bottle.
Back home taken kit off again, took the cooler in for pressure test to find the actual cooler is leaking under pressure. Stripped the cooler, there 8 o rings on cylinders, 2 o rings were of poor quality, added new o rings sealed, pressure tested at 0.7 bar no leak and then took it up to 1.5 bar, held for 5 minutes no leak. I have a lot of coolant go into the manifold, had to do some cleaning in the ports. Mechanics had a look say car is good no damage. So if any of you notice small amount of coolant leaking or coolant bottle draining either from boost or vacuum, be Alert. The car will also feel very jerky from 2000 to 3000 under normal driving. Unfortunately all the logs I took, did not pick anything up. Another recommendation is have your cooler pressure tested prior to install, just as a precaution if you can, as it is extremely frustrating taking the kit off. Especially after 4 times. I'm now a qualified SC installer, takes me 1 hour ![]() Thought I'd share... |
