The new Honda DI engines have tons of torque but are choked at the top end too. The 991 GT3 engine has horrible low end torque, but I'm not going to ever own one of those lol.

Ever since the 2ZZ, F20, and K20 died, engines that actually make power to 7500rpm have only existed in exotics or at least 100k+ cars. It would be refreshing to see a counterexample. Come on Toyota, 6AR-GSE? lol...

At this point, my hopes are on Porsche because the Japanese companies seem to have cut off their balls. I'm scared Porsche is going down the 6000 rev limit super high boost route too :/ I'm really hoping I don't have to do a 2ZZ Spyder build because I hate the soft top and luggage space so much.
Goddamit, Serial. You are American. You have ANOTHER car for that practical nonsense.

I was mentally high-fiving myself yesterday for being so clever.

It's a good thing I'm ok with being such a dufus. It's even better that my wife is ok with it.

Which Supra?

Also VTEC Mini?
The Supra is a long story, so I'm gonna try and condense it. Basically, when we bought it, we were told it had a bad headgasket, which was cool because that's easy. We fix everything and finally start her up, only to find that there's still coolant in the oil. We assume there must be a crack in the block, so we send the block and head to the machine shop to get inspected. Machine shop says it's likely a crack upon initial inspection, so we go ahead and buy a new block. Send this block to the machine shop and turns out it's got damage from crankwalk, and it ends up being useless. Then, we are planning to get a third block, when the machine shop calls and tells us, he finally got around to doing a more extensive inspection, and there is no crack, and most likely the block just needs a good deck. We have him deck, bore, and hone the block, get him some CP 10.5:1 pistons and Eagle rods, as well as a whole array of new OEM parts and say, whip us up a monster.

So, we should be getting a mostly assembled 3.2L 2JZ sometime this week. Then, we shall burn the midnight oil and get this bad boy together. Then we will wait the painfully long time to get a tune at Sound Performance, and the car will be done. Hopefully making lots of horsepower on E85. Fingers crossed, we'll see something with four digits, even if it's just crank numbers.

As far as the Mini goes, it's at my parents place in Dallas, so I never get to work on it. It needs brake lines, a seat, some modifications to the shifter, a real fuel cell, a little bit of wiring clean up, and then it's driving around. Then I need to finish the fender flares, mount the front clamshell, send it to the body shop for paint and reassembly, and the car is finished.

Edit: I should mention, I'm talking about the Red 94 6-spd Supra. The Green 93 5-spd, is chilling in my other brothers garage in Dallas waiting for me to show up so we can fix some oil leaks.

Jesus christ. Just cut the end off one of those still useful blocks and weld the shit out of it onto the new one. Bam, inline 12. One badass supra.

Or if engine bay space is a problem, lol. Just conjoin at a common crank. Then double bam, V12 fer ya trubles.

So since Dadhawk has Momhawk, would your wife be, Mrs. Maroon, or Megamaroon?

So, hypothetically, say there's a album you want, and you notice that if you get it from Best Buy it comes with an exclusive track that you can't get on iTunes. Simple enough, right? Just go to Best Buy and get it. Except that the first two stores don't even carry music anymore, and the third one has a single small rack for all genres. "Oh, it came out in 2013? No, we won't have that. But here's 14 copies of John Denver for you." ... Thanks.

What if there were no hypothetical situations?

I would probably just buy it off Amazon, you get the CD and able to download it.
Then I would download the exclusive track from a group of connected peers... If you know what I'm saying.

The 86 IS the practical car lol, and unfortunately it eats the whole budget for now. If I end up doing a Spyder build it's going to be pretty crazy and cost way too much money.
