As far as your noise worries. The stock FP is going to be the most quiet. If you change it even to a High Flow Cat it WILL be louder than the stock one. Not by much but it was noticeable to me (i'm back on stock fp right now).
Thanks! Did you do a baseline dyno prior to the s/c?

I didnt but my friend with just a Greddy RS exhaust did a pull that same day on his FRS. It was automatic so we assumed it was 10 whp lower. It ran a 150 whp.

So we calculated that we had anywhere between a 90-100 whp gain over stock.

Totally theoretical, but I've got catless headers + custom (resonated) headerback. What sorta HP can I expect with the edelbrock kit. Rest is stock basically - aside from a flexfuel kit.

anywhere from 245whp to 295whp.

Depends on your exhaust setup.

I can't get specific unless you get specific.

How specific can you get?

Say E-Force, Delicious tune, D-Box, 93 Octane, Nameless header back exhaust w/ high flow cat, stock exhaust manifold.

Thanks!

I'm leaving the stock exhaust manifold because the car is as loud as I want it and because of emissions. If it weren't for emissions I'd probably go turbo instead, but that doesn't really seem to be a viable option unless I plan to uninstall it every two years to pass Ohio E-Check.

That being sad I like the Edelbrock kit. Seems way overbuilt for the application and that gives me confidence in terms of heat management and longevity.

BTW I'm new here. How do I thank a post?

Thanks - I know, just wanted sort of "range of expectancy" to play with.

I have a custom headerback with little restriction and a catless header (made by RMS here in SA)... so can't give you much more than that for now.

Otherwise stock.

Hit the "thanks" button on the lower right of a post.

Even with the stock header, we can get you to around 265-270whp with supporting mods and a tune.

Add ethanol to that and 300whp on the stock manifold is very possible.

PM me when you're ready to order. That's the best way to say thanks

The header will have a bigger impact by itself, than everything behind the header combined!

Turns out I need more posts to get the button. You provide a ton of value to this site, when I buy stuff you'll be my first choice. I'll probably ask you a hundred questions though.

I took a few readings of the heatsoaked manifold (quick 15 minutes run around town) in order to get an idea of where a majority of heatsoak for IATs are coming from. Here's what I've collected. It was about 85 F ambient, sunny, humidity around 80%
MAF Housing

Supercharger

Oil Cooler

Liquid to Air Intercooler

Air Filter Box

Passenger Lower Intake Runner

Passenger Upper Intake Runner

Driver Lower Intake Runner

Driver Upper Intake Runner

Driver Head

Passenger Head

The heating of the filter box and MAF sensor housing are the first two things I'm aiming to work on a solution for. I've heard the gold foil tape doesn't attach well to the type of surface for the airbox and I'm not sure that would help much anyways since most of the air coming in bounces of the high pressure area in front of the radiator. What has everyone else come up with for lower IAT?

Are people getting heatsoak IAT issues with this kit are they?

my measured IAT is always about 25 degrees over ambient, even with the Verus hood vents
