Sti Battery Tie Down.

This might hold my optima yellow top battery better than Cusco tie down does.

Installed the STI battery tie down and removed the mounting base that came with the Optima battery (installed on the bottom).
Now the battery is lying down about 1-2 inch lower than factory battery.
Even though the Optima battery is not lighter than factory one, it has a lower center of gravity now----I might think too much, hah.

Just wanted to say this car is an inspiration. Perfect style, excellent wheels/fitment, just the right blend of OEM and aftermarket. Good job

The girlfriend think my exhaust is too loud.

So I decide to do something to save the relationship.

I plan to cover the trunk and doors. These might add about 10 lb weight, not too bad.

i did that to my doors, i really should do it to the trunk too! made everything sound much better, but i don't think it will make much of a difference for your girlfriend, mine didn't even notice! she just noticed no more rattles

Thank you Ivan.
I will try it. I think as long as it is better than nothing that's great. 10+lb is not bad at all to me. I hope the dynamat on doors can also reduce the road/wind noise on highway.

Applied Dynamat in trunk. Added about 3lbs I think. Not too bad.

I have not done any test drive yet.

Used three 18X32 mats. And still have six 18X32. I will cover the door panels and probably rear seats after a few days. After that I hope there will be a noticeable difference on road/wind noise and maybe exhaust sound.

Lived at my girlfriend's apt. this weekend and there is no garden hose to wash the car with.
So I used a local self wash station and drove back to the apt. to wax.
I brought all my tools and only used the water there.
And when I was back to the apt., I sprayed some water on the paint and dried it using Ammo hydrate & microfiber.
I would not dry my car at the station and go home to wax with road dust on the paint.
It's my first time using a self wash station. Still preferred using a garden hose, which was the only way I washed my car before.

Car has alot of nice parts that flow nice, but it would look so much better with OEM mirrors over the APR's. They consistently look terrible on any vehicle.

Keep up the nice collection of quality parts!
