Hey everyone! I'm new to this site, and it was suggested to me to ask this question on a more local forum, so here's my dilemma.
The ass that sold me my FR-S led me to believe that the navigation just needed to be "updated" to work. When I called to make the appointment for this, they told me it was going to cost $1200. GTFO! There HAS to be a way to just upgrade this myself. I'm pretty tech savvy so I can follow instructions and figure it out. I just don't know where to start or what to search for. What do I need?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Please be kind...I'm sorry but I know nothing about this stuff. I fit the stereotype of a dumb girl when it comes to cars.

This looks to be the BeSpoke 2014 Premium Stereo, the base bespoke does not come with "Aha" module

Head Unit is about $500, the navigation/Aha module which enables the features is about $1000. $1500 total.

I did a quick search but i did not find a non Toyota dealer that carries the module. In my opinion even if its $800 its prob not worth it.

Replace it with an aftermarked android headunit so you can use google maps

Took a nice little drive last weekend, stayed over in Louisville. Nice route, lots of sweepers, no cops. Wish it could have been tighter and more technical, guess I will have to plan a trip to eastern ohio/kentucky area for that.

I live up there a few years ago. I know two ten minutes from me but they're close to you. There is one at kroger in western hills on harrison avenue. Then there is another on at speedway on hamilton avenue.

Anyone with a new red FRS heading northeast out of Cinci on 71 Saturday evening (11/8)? We were in the wife's dark gray metallic Forester XT on our way back to Cleveland and rolled all the way out to SR73 with you where we got off for gas and you got off and headed west towards Waynesville. Centerville area! (Close to Dayton).

I actually just saw another black FR-S today. I think the wheels were Matte Graphite. Potentially the 57Xtremes that I want but I didn't get a good look because they were behind me. If you use this thread and see this, we need to cruise some time!
