if it looks like THAT and the price starts with a 3, it better start with a 30 then..
im not downgrading THAT much from the 8.. there is only SO much good fuel economy can do

If we gwt the frs for 30000 I will bot be buying cause that means all the options in the jdm would cost too much to get.

Maybe it's $32,000 for the Scion FRS version and then the climate control, keyless entry, hids, sat nav, etc are extras.

Keep the cruise control and alloys ill take 5 spacer saver things 29990 drive away thanks.

Anything over $30000 is fine so long as it has the options too suit, oh and ill be taking it back monthly for fix ups, any squeaks, squeals will be appropriately fixed/compensated for.

Yes im a super tight ass and my local dealer will hate me. They make the profit, so they can deal with the problems most of which we in Oz will know about by the time it reaches us.

Like so many people finance will be needed to buy this car meaning we end up paying 10-15000 more then the purchase price anyways.

I don't think we'll get a version that's as low as the Scion. Look at the Rukus... now this is the Scion xB over in the states with the same 2.4L Camry motor as we get here, except in Japan it's a 1.5L. I don't know what it's like there, but the Rukus here has a lot of the same features in the low grade that got cut from the FR-S.

I think the models we see will be very very similar to JDM spec ones. My 2c.

BTW, I remember many months ago predicting that base model of the 86 would be around 32-33k+ORC for the base, and 35-38k+ORC for the high spec... I still think I was pretty spot on!

To be honest I'd like the car to start at a reasonable price to limit the amount of P Platers buying the car, ricing it or worst wrapping it around a pole in the first year - this will give the 86 a bad image.
I hope in a few years as well, we don't see the 86 as the next civic.

Given the way Toyota are marketing the car, I don't think there's any chance of you getting your wish.

It's going to be a pure cop magnet.
