Runs fine, but once in a while it needs a tiny shot of Torco iff'n I get some bad socialist gas. I found it was a rare occurrence (so far) as I monitor knock closely. When I use real 94 (mix - Sunoco 91 and race gas, using no ethanol) the car shows similar knock characteristics, but butt dyno and xhaust sound (smoother, louder, change in pitch) indicate to me and others who have tracked my twin that mo powa is being generated. I have tried our pure gas (Sunoco 91 without alcohol) and brought the octane up to varying levels, and that accomplishes the same thing. I do that when pure hi-octane race gas is unavailable. Placebo perhaps but I doubt it . When I get some spare sheckels I'll add them to the rubles that are left over from track fees, waste it on a dyno and see the real numbers.

MAF Correction After Start AT/MT difference.
Could the difference in these tables account for the wildly different MAF behavior between AT and MT? OTS MT with OTS MAF scale and stock intake AFR behavior: http://datazap.me/u/deanveljkovic/86...2657-2699-2677 OTS AT with OTS MAF scale and stock intake AFR behavior: http://datazap.me/u/wayne/206-stg2-u...1330-1354-1371 The MT seems to cross over into each MAF cell about 200rpm later. Could these tables be why I've been chasing my tail for months? Or is this wishful thinking as these tables are only used in idle/start/etc and need to just work around it. I've never seen an AT with flat AFR curve on OTS tune like MT's have. After updating to Td-d's latest definitions instead of using the ones from openflash, you can clearly see this is the only major difference defined between AT and MT that could possibly effect AFR's. @Td-d @steve99 @Shiv@Openflash @Kodename47

@Wayno , i am pretty sure those maf offset tables only effect maf offset after start and once startup sequence comple no further effect , although only the rom gurus would know 100%.
might be difference in maf sensor itself ,my car always runs pig rich on oft tunes mine ran 11.2 on e85 tunes just flatlined at rich limit of sensor like some others, where as other cars run closer to the ol fuel table like yours, seen it in usa guys cars as well some run rearly rich some dont. the ones that run rearly rich can get that low rpm high load bogging issue it could also be 02sensor placement issue on aftermarket headers |

It's not so much that it runs rich or lean, it's just that it goes super rich at 3.2v, then ok at 3.4v, then rich by 3.9, then super lean at 6400rpm at 4.06v, then finally super rich in the same MAF cell, doesn't matter how much you let it adapt, it always goes from 12.5 to about 11.5 in one cell. |

Yep, I've seen that but 4800rpm and above is all zero'd on AT and MT. Trying to find an obvious cause rather than work around it. I have 3 4th gear dyno graphs of AT cars with the exact same shape. 3.7 gets rich, 3.9 gets super rich, 4.0 gets super lean then super rich again. MT on the other hand is usually flat, still shitty rich and inconsistent, but flat.

Yeah apart from the box itself and the ecu, there's nill hardware differences, so has to be something software related.
I'll switch to the MT MAF comp table and test it today. I should also mention the same difference in behavior is at the same intake temp for both AT and MT. |
