Well, Phijkchu, at your stage in life, the other car you may wish to seriously consider is this one.

I drove its older brother (NC) for 8 years and 88,000 miles and found it to be one fun driving machine ......

I was looking intently at it because it is the superior sports car gasp shock horror how dare you but the frsbrz86 is more practical. And I like practical.

.........
Well, now, that is OK to like practical ......... however, at your young age, is the time to be un-practical, because, the next unpractical time in your life will most likely be after, marriage, having kids, raising kids, putting kids through college and then saving for retirement.

That would put you at about 65 years old ........

mrs humfrz and I became unpractical at my age of about 66 and bought a miata. Then we drove it all over the west, Midwest US and parts of Western Canada. Believe me, you can get everything you need for 2 people for a 3 week trip in the trunk of a miata, if you pack "right".

Hey, I'm not banging on my FR-S, but ...... there is a dimension to fun driving, that only a roadster can offer.

Every week or two, I think about getting a Tesla. I'm just afraid of the residuals, though, because about 3 years from now, there will be a much larger choice of new EVs to choose from.

Well, by the time I'll be ready for an electric car, they will be driving themselves, so it won't matter whether or not they renew my drivers license .....

EVs are fantastic. Instant torque no matter what. Every time I think of getting another gas-engined car, I look at the 5-60 and say, "Oh yeah. Not electric."

I wish Tesla still made the roadster. Not sure how that gets classed for AutoX either.
