I've been running Wayno's tunes with the modified cranking tables for e85 but I'm still having cold start issues when temps are < 16 degree C.
If I'm lucky, it will start in 2 goes, but sometimes it takes up to 6 goes before it starts. I've always managed to start it in the end though. Any advise on what I can do? Do I just keep increasing the values in the cranking tables until it can start more easily? Is there any downside to having cranking tables that are too high? Why are there 6 tables (A, B, C, D, E, F)? Thanks guys.. |

Don't keep increasing cranking, remove some of the startup timing and maf adjustments.

+1 on what @Wayno said.
alternativly run caltex eflex in winter instead of united e85 , eflex less e% and starts easier or add 5 litres of 98 petrol to a full tank of united e85 and it will light up on the first crank. you only need about e60 to run these tunes |

I haven't cranked more than once all winter with the startup adjustments.

Easiest to compare and or copy the tables from the attached roms. I beleive i listed the exact tables for quiet start in the op, which includes both the timing retard and maf after start adjustments. There's lots of posts on the subject too. My changes just aren't as aggressive as some of the suggestions.

@Wayno
I've just started checking out your tune files. Thank you for all the hard work by the way. Any reason why the Cranking Fuel Injector Pulse Width F (ECT) table is the only one with changes in the petrol AT rom? (v80 A01I) You don't happen to have a modified def for the K and J roms (Long shot) |

You can't rely on what tables the comparison list highlights for you, you have to open both tables and compare. It will highlight them different because the axis/scaling is off in some regions.
I'll look into defs for other regions only if they're AT. |

@Wayno
Before I do some forensics in RomRaider - your BPB tune is UEL AND BPB? And there is no .bin for stock header AND BPB? If it is for UEL, do I just look at the differences between UEL+BPB and UEL? |
