Obviously it doesn't mean that there has been over 6,000 orders. Might be a numbering system independant of dealers, spec (gt, gts).

Purely speculative however and I'm just taking a wild guess at these things. Would be good though if we were able to find out what these stock numbers mean.


Another thing to take into account is that the stock number would only make sense to predict when your car is arriving if you compare with the dealer code since each dealer only receives 2 cars a month so the stock numbers would not really make sense from dealer to dealer..

As monty said they apply to all vehicles and are purely the order in which the vehicles are ordered. As stated earlier they have absolutely ZERO bearing on delivery time

Mine was on the boat on the 19th of June, and I picked it up from the dealer on the 16th of July.

I think it got off the boat on the 6th of July.

What dealership did you order from ?

Also, do you know if the cars your getting are from the 1st batch that was specifically allocated for you. Or did you's get lucky that you ordered that colour type and thats what was already allocated for your dealership.

Im trying to build up some ammo, as I think a few of us got shafted !!!!!!!

You may get a few days earlier because you're in Sydney, but I wouldn't expect to get it before August.

yeah, the sales guy i spoke to said they will try their hardest to get it to me on 31st, because they work by month by month budgets. im picking it up from wollongong which is right near port Kembla, so it wont need trucking to dealership, should cut some time off the wait but we will see...

Built on 25th June
On boat on 29th June
At Port Kembla on 16th July
At Dealer on 18th July
In Garage on 19th July

Nothing was allocated to me. I just happened to be looking for the same colour/spec as what the dealer had coming in. I guess I got 'lucky'. Hence why it pays to shop around at different dealers before you sign on the dotted line. Too late for that now though :P
