Is your right hood strut offset in that bracket or is it just an optical illusion due to the angle change of the pictures? Anyways... awesome just awesome!!!

The Radium bracket sit right on top of the Grimmspeed hood damper bracket by using the bolts comes with the damper kit. There is no issue of fitness. You might need longer bolts if you are using the earlier version of the Grimmspeed hood damper. The earlier version kit comes with silver bolts (or use factory bolts) instead of black.

You might find more information here:

There is enough tolerance in the Radium bracket and the car to do this without issue. Spacing the Grimspeed bracket up would require doing both sides of the car (if running a single can) and it puts the hood hinges dangerously close to the plastic shroud below the windshield.

I also found that the instructions were a little lacking in explaining how to route the return hose for the PCV. The stock line that you tap into is molded in a specific way that it doesn't agree with bending in the direction required for the Radium catch can install. I worked with mine a few times before deciding on a route that seemed the most natural for the factory hose. I'd really like to convert everything to compression fittings and line down the road and go direct to the block with this, but for now, this will work.

Anyways, here's my shots. I got one with the hood closed (set my camera on timer) to show the clearance between the hood strut and Radium bracket.

Fit and finish is superb and everything bolted up without a fuss. Very happy with the outcome.

I have the petcock valve but I installed this in my condo and don't have all my tools here. This summer I'll take it out and put the petcock valve in to make draining that much easier.

Vortech Supercharger V3 kit
Vortech Maxflow race BOV
JDL UEL catless header,
JDL overpipe
JDL ultra quite front pipe (1 HFC + 1 resonator)
ARK Grip catback

The BOV sounds great at shift, but kinda too loud for me at cruising.
So I have changed it back to the one that come with the sc kit.

AMMO NYC sticker.

Unfortunately AMMO NYC is not a performance part manufacturer, so this sticker might not add any horsepower. Good news is it might help protect the paint.

Great build! love all the parts that you picked for the car. Question, why did you pick the Vortech SC over the Jackson Racing SC? Did you compare the two at all? I'm personally considering one of them.

How do you like AMMO's products? I heard great things about Larry but haven't had anyone use his products on our platform.

I did compare these two sc kits and to be honest they were the top two on my wishlist.

Both are great and reliable products.

I finally choose Vortech because of the following reasons. Some of them are kinda ricer.

1. More upgrade options in the future.
2. Better re-sale value, because the brand is more well-known. So if I were a buyer, I might not do much research on JR and might just think the Vortech kit is much more reliable.
3. I like the Vortech logo on the intercooler.
4. Vortech has a factory recommended bov upgrade kit. And you can hear the sound clip in the previous post on this thread. (This is not a preference now).

JR is a great sc kit too.

1. Better engine room look to me.
2. You can upgrade a 100% compatible oil cooler.
3. Easy to install. For example, for the Vortech kit you will need to change the windshield fluid tank. Mine is a little bit leaking now.

Both kits are great. You won’t be wrong to go to either of them.

I’v used Ammo’s product for about 2 years. Have used 3 bottle of Ammo Skin, 1 bottle of Creme, and many Spit and Hydrate.

I think the Skin and Hydrate are something that you should try. Creme is not necessory unless you want to use it before a car show. They are really really shining. But they do not protect the paint even though the website said it does. Larry himself has said that Skin is the product to protect paint.

I wash and wax the car by myself, so I prefer to use top end product because time is money. Skin last for a long time. Last winter I did not wash the car for about 4 months but I wax it several time frequently before winter. When I wash my car on spring the car was still well waxed.

If you have any question feel free to ask me.
