I was debating the same thing but I'm not sure its 100% worth it or not. Which one were you looking at Jay? We're you looking at the same WRX kit I was which uses the front tow mount?

I'm not so sure I like the side mounted plate. obviously I'd prefer to get rid of it completely, but if we have to have it, I'm not so sure mounted off to 1 side really looks that great.

Looks good on one of those older Evo's but I'm not so sure about the FR-S. I don't think the center mounting position is terrible looking but I do understand you guys not wanting holes in the bumper.

I'm thinking I might just rock the stock front mount. I almost think it will give me some protection when parking on the street. You won't believe how many scratches are on the rear end of my Audi from stupid people who can't park. Even my front has its plate frame cracked!!

Thats exactly the one I was looking at. yea I'm not sure how it will look on the FRS I actually would prefer a plate relocation thats done on the lip but I can't find one plus it would ruin the look if I got fogs.

Yeah parking on the street is a dangerous thing around here worst case I exp myself was while I was parked in front of my house and the guy in front of me put his car in reverse instead of drive and sratched up my front end pretty damn bad

I've got some really bad stories sadly. I have to actually park on the street so I've been finding some good spots in my neighboor hood when I get the FRS.

Worst thing that happened to me so far was with my black 2 door Integra. I was parked on a residental street near BCIT while I was a student. Accross the street was someone's drive way.

I walked up to my car after class and noticed the front left fender looked a little strange. Like it wasn't installed properly or something. When I got closer I realized it was totally bent out of shape.

From what I can tell (hit and run victim), someone reversed into the front fender of my car and happened to place a large dent located between the front wheel and drivers door frame. The dent was so large that it actually bent the fender outwards to the point where when I attempted to open the drivers door, the front edge of the drivers door would be blocked by the tail edge of the now crumpled fender.

So for 3 months I had to get into and out of the car from the passenger side door. Climbing over the ebrake and shifter was horrible everyday. I started in the end to get into my car ala NASCAR style. If I was only gone for a few minutes I'd just leave the window down and climb in when I got back.

In the end, I had the car fixed for cheap by the guys at BCIT doing autobody. I had to buy them a fender but they did all the body work and paint for only about 100 bucks or so. They did a pretty good job also because I couldn't really see any paint differences.

They actually want people to bring them project cars to work on. They work on instructor cars and stuff all the time. It can take longer then normal to get the car into their shop (there is a waiting list) and it does take them longer to fix the car then normal. But they do a good job as the instructors actually look over their work and grade them on it.

If you want to do this, just drive over to the Autobody school at BCIT in Burnaby and talk to the shop manager. Thats what I did. The only cost you have is paint for the student and shop supplies.

And the cost of having your car in the possession of some teens/twenty-somethings.

As long as you don't get it back with the other side dented in!

Hey guys, Regarding the front plate relocator and NOT having holes drilled.

When i was a technician at Nissan, WE were the ones that drilled holes During PDI's. Some models ALREADY have square holes in the bumper and theres nothing you can do about it. For these you just insert a square peg with threads on it. A BRZ/FRS should be smooth there for what it's worth, aside from the 2 dimples in the bumper to align drill bits

If you request to your dealer to Specifically NOT drill the holes, they will skip that step during PDI. However I can see it being an issue if they do all the FRS PDI's in one large batch (likely), not knowing which car belongs to who yet...and by the time you go in to look at yours and claim it, it's already been done

Richmond Subaru? I hope you pre-ordered somewhere else

I say this because they are getting 3 the first shipment (all 3 sport-tech/ 1 manual WRB(MINE!??), 1 auto SWP, 1 auto Silver), and for the 2nd/Last shipment, they MAY get 1 OR 2 More(unknown spec), and that's it till next model year. I've heard they took deposits from more than 8 people now though.

Absolutely agree. We are on the tail end of kids at home, but when you need it you need it and the car would be impractical for me without it.

that WRB paint is really something else eh?

I pre-ordered a WRB Limited MT at Langley and a White/Grey FR-S at Scion Surrey. Wonder which one will be mine. I keep looking at all three cars....

BTW. I really like the creature comforts of the BRZ BUT i love the 5 axis kit.. ahhhh DECISIONS! Why can't they just have a limited version of the FR-S (which as well all know is the Gt86) then everyone would be happy!

The WRB is awesome!..i've got it on my '11 wrx..it's what i'll miss MOST if i get rid of her..aside from world beating winter/snow performance.

I figure if i get the BRZ in WRB again, the only thing I can bitch about missing is the AWD, the extra 130hp and useable rear seats..

Nah I called Subaru Richmond and it didn't sound too promising.

I order in North Vancouver

With how much Subaru didn't screw us I almost can't pass up the chance however Talking to the dealership I mentioned I had a pre-order for the FRS as well and that its coming in May for me to see if they would sweeten the pot and all I got was "Well Subaru is a much more prestigious brand and that kind of soured my feeling towards the dealer

Man WRB just looks soo good
