Hey guys sorry to dig this old thread up but I am having this issue with my 13 FR-S and it's really bad and I can't stand looking at it. Is this no longer an issue with the newer models? I can't seem to find any threads newer than 2015. I'm definitely not covered under warranty and not sure if I want to start glueing stuff. Does anyone have any insight/recommendations?

Mine's not awful but I've considered gluing/stitching it together. I don't know when they updated the dies for the molds but I can see how all the early ones were reworked by hand, cutting off some material that interfered with the center vent louvers.

My 2016's dash is coming up, albeit slowly and not as bad but you can tell it has that slight M to it. Eventually I will get some epoxy and remove the vents and clamp it down while it cures. I saw a post either on here or FB and it fixed their problem. My car was also always parked with a quality sunblock in place that I shelled out $60 for.

I'm thinking about glueing it but look at this crap, it's so bad I really doubt glue is going to do the trick. And the Arizona summer heat is about to be here

My 2013 never had this problem, and was usually parked outside. I did have a clear ir/uv blocking film on the windshield, and used aerospace 303 protectant on the dash, which I think saved it.

Once you pull the vent out it's really easy to see it separating. A couple clamps and a thin board will keep it down while any epoxy cures. Mine looks like yours but mostly on the passenger side vent.

This seems like a pretty good fix.

I personally use a sun shield on hot days and so far I'm ok.

Thanks for the positive encouragement, I might just have to try

That's the exact fix I was thinking about doing. I wonder if waiting till after summer would be a good idea, one more summer can't hurt right

Yes, I suggest you take it to an automotive upholstery shop and have them fix it proper. Then get one of those folding dash sun shade things to use when parked in the sun.

Tell me more about the automotive upholstery shop. If they can do a better job than I would, then I'll gladly pay to have it done. It would be a first for me.
