Most people would ask me the same questions of why I need to do all that to my car.

Let's take a look at some cars that are form before function:

Below, a car that has modified it's suspension to mimic a race car and is basically unsafe for public roads:

How about another car enthusiast group that requires fender modification, messing with suspension geometry, and putting undue stress on factory components? here:

Just sayin, we're all car enthusiasts

... we all know "stance" is just a really cool way to play off your car's theft recovery status - from Mexico.

Calling a tastefully modified car clean, because it has been tastefully modified, and then calling a clapped out car clean because its been clapped out, isn't the same thing.

CAR 1 is lowered and chopped. Not sure how you can argue that hurts performance for the cars original state especially with the upgraded suspension, increased function over stock

CAR 2 DRAG CAR, has drag suspension and is setup foR FUNCTION. Come on kick star that brain

Car 3 Truck lifted off the ground for ground clearance, again function.

BRZ photo, mods that increase and enhance nothing at all, only take away from the car. Are you starting to understand?
*To establish, I tried to only reference street cars. For the first car, I was more responding to people talking about being "too low." Also, have you RIDDEN in a hot rod this low? Trust me, the suspension is a lot LESS functional for a street car. For the second, it's a response to the people who are complaining about modifying suspension outside factory specs/replicating racecars. And, lastly, lifted trucks run into a lot of similar problems that super-lowered cars do suspension wise: increased wear on bushings, stress on wheel bearings, body damage from "ill-fitting" wheels and tires, etc.

I just don't even know what to respond to this. Yes, because these brand new BR-Z's are definitely stolen from Mexico by ill and vic...just like their other cars and in response to the bolded part:

Might want to add that any lifted truck going down the road at normal speeds tend to swerve some due to the soft suspension setup.

Joke > you.

Personally, I think stancing out your "whip" make it look cheap more than anything else...

There's a way to make a car flush and functional without detracting from the car.

That not even half as bad as badge swapping, which portrays only a self confidence issue on the part of the driver and not the vehicle, or brand. I for one bought the car exactly for the specs. If I wanted a badge I woulda bought a beemer or a rolls.. toyota badge I kinda understand that, its a gt86 elsewhere in the world. was gonna buy a golf, but I started looking at the specs in a very lucid kind of way..

ill roller doesn't build his car specifically for the "hellaflush/stance nation" scene. he builds his cars the way he likes them, as we all do. his car just happens to fit the type of car they like to post. he also loves to beat the living hell out of the car. i promise you his cars see more mileage and more track time than most "track-oriented" cars or "show" or "hellaflush/stanced" cars

It's an issue humanity has struggled with and will continue to struggle with, justice and equality for all is a long time off, don't be one of the people who delay that even in a minute way.

Like it or not lowering a car to near impracticality or putting on shiny wheels that only serve to please a certain subset WILL raise objections, as will putting on slicks or putting in a roll cage or stripping out the interior as will painting it pink or metallic green or putting on a body kit.

Everybody is different, there are certainly people I talk to daily who think I'm dumb for not wanting a wing + fart cannon + 19" wheels for my FRS but that's one of the few things that make car culture interesting. All you gotta say is "well it makes me happy" and let others blow the blood vessel.

or penis as the case may be.
Why shouldn't it? I'd rather not be associated with something that I personally do not care for... Should I be welcoming dudes to hit on me? As i said, I'm completely cool with whatever other people want to do, but saying that I'm stereotyping by not wanting to be called something I'm not is a joke.

Near impracticality? I drive my car 100 miles a day and bring it to the track with no issues... Where is the impracticality? As I said, people can dislike it, people can express the fact that they don't like it, but stop spouting out misinformation.

I can't stop some stance blog from posting a picture of my car... They post what they find on the internet. If they want to post a drift car, more power to them.
