I just have a pop in the morning when backing out of the garage and turning the wheels for the first time of the day. After that, they are silent.

Becareful I did that for 3500 miles and then my shock snapped at the place where the top hat rest on it.

I'm curious how much freedom you have spinning the entire spring when the car has load on it. I can freely spin my springs even under load with my RCE Tarmacs + the conical washer + the top stock strut mount. Are you able to spin your springs with the Whitelines as well or do the springs seem bound and rigid, unable to spin, under load?

I was able to spin my springs when the shocks were off and I was trying to fix the rotation of it. Have not tried but I assume you can't.

You can only spin the springs if you have coilovers, the bottom spring seat on stock shocks is keyed so the spring can't spin on purpose.

With coilovers, they will turn, but not that easily. It takes both hands on the spring to get it to move. I've adjusted my ride height so many times that I'm pretty familiar with it. With the roller bearings built into the perch on the Ground Control camber plates, the adjustment happens with much less effort.

I wrote Whiteline an email about my popping in the morning and they responded stating that they are testing some things out and are hoping to have something in a week or two. We'll see what happens.

Got the popping noise, install a little more than a month ago, popping is getting louder and louder, so decide to check it as I had other thing to install.

I am using the conical washer with KW3, I think there is 2 kind of problem, the older one were related with not using the conical washer(with KW3), the aluminum plate was pulling on the outer bearing race, the second problem that we are seeing now seem to be link with the bearing moving inside the bearing holder when the geometry(angle of the shock change) when turning the wheel. Made a video were you can see it move from one angle to the other with the popping sound. Thats why they run fine and noise free when you are not turning to much the wheel on the road.

I really like this product and hope they will solve it, I do not think its a big to solve but it take time to have tooling made as they are made from stamp steel in comparaison with spherical bearing top plate that are CNC part(tolerance can be made better).

I have sent them the info and video, service is really nice up to now, that make me an happy customer.

For anyone running coilovers and getting popping, are you running thrust bearings on the front springs? That will probably totally stop the noises for you.

Are you saying that actual bearing is not supporting/able to support the the vertical force produce by the weight of the car?

Nono... but some coilover companies suggest running a thrust bearing to make it easier for the spring to rotate as the strut turns with the wheels. It has nothing to do with load bearing ability.

That's normally with spherical bearings that can handle the axial load but don't turn well with it.
