I'll buy it regardless of name.

That said, I honestly like the name FT-86. I know "FT" stands for "Future Toyota," but who cares? It sounds good. GT-86 works if they really are against FT-86, but I still like FT-86.

Besides, as has been said, the name will be very well know by production launch if they keep the name FT-86, which would be a big benefit for Toyota.

I also wonder why Toyota has yet to show this car on their main Toyota car websites. They show other concepts, most of which will never be produced... ??

Having the number 86 in the name would not be a good choice. eighty-six means to end, run out, ignore, get rid of something. That would not be a smart name choice for toyota, especially during their current troubles.
