Doesn't mean they don't exist. Just means the dealer was too lazy to submit your order.

Find a different dealer and ask them to order them for you. Done.

I've read a dozen different threads about this now and I'm blown away by the fact that no one will go to the dealer to buy these but they'll spend twice as much to buy them from some guy online who is simply buying them from the dealer and selling to you guys at a profit. Just read a thread about a guy paying $400 USD for these yet they are only $288 CND at the local dealer.

To each their own, but a lot of people need to get off this kick that the dealer is expensive and start visiting them to get the parts they need/want.

How is he supposed to order them if they aren't in his computer?
That doesn't mean they don't exist, they just aren't in his system.

Door Panel Knee Pads:

(RH) SU003-04436 ($45.67)

Centre Console Knee Pads:
(LH) SU003-01920 ($45.67)

Speaker Grilles:
(LH) SU003-04433 ($27.15)
(RH) SU003-04432 ($27.15)

Speaker Grille Trim Rings:
(LH) SU003-03287 ($21.41)
(RH) SU003-03286 ($21.41)

Speaker Grille Screws (Required for Installation of Pads):
SU003-02917 (x6) ($0.25 each)

You need all of the above to complete installation...well, that is if you want both the console and the door pads for both sides...
I just called 4 different dealers, and got the same response: 1 available set in all of North America, but they have no access to order the parts. So I'm assuming there isn't 1 piece of each available yet.

That being said, the total for all of the pieces is pretty low as you said (total of $281.30 for everything + taxes) - in Ontario w/tax total comes to $317.87

I've put the part prices beside your part numbers for reference.

I don't mind that I paid ~$50 more to get them now, versus waiting who knows how long.

Is this what we've become? If I can't find it, then just do nothing?

The dealer can submit a request for part numbers not in the system and have them loaded.

Thanks for putting that together. Just note that the prices shown are Canadian too.

And your right, not all parts are immediately available. Some would have to be ordered from California and other direct from Japan. But leave that to Toyota to figure out. They invented just-in-time delivery for a reason...

All my parts had to come from overseas but they arrived in a week or so.

I don't tell other people how to do their jobs, especially when I have other options and don't know what options they have available. Not being trained in Toyota parts management, how am I supposed to know what his options are when the parts don't come up in his system?

Is it possible that the numbers are different between US and Canada?

Yup! I got all my parts from Nigel early this year. Shipping was reasonable, even to Alaska! It did take a while because of Alaska, but otherwise everything was swell.

You don't have to tell them how to do their job, just ask them if they are doing all they can to help you. You have to make some assumptions here. If your told "I don't see that part number in my system" then ask, "how do we go about getting it into your system then, because I would like to order it". Remember these: Who, what, where, how, when? Ask questions and you'll eventually get answers.

Part numbers are exactly the same in both countries. All parts in Canada are ordered from Toyota USA who supplies all of North America.

This is exactly true. All the Canadian dealers I spoke to said they would be getting the parts from California (Toyota US)
