I'm running a borla uel, perrin drop in filter and an axle back. So I still have the stock mid pipe. I'm running the stage 2 uel and it runs awesome

With OFH + secondary cat-back and K&N drop in filter you will run our Stage2 UEL map and be perfectly fine and lots of fun.

I have 3 inch Perrin cat back, K&N drop in air filter and 93 octane gas.

Stage 1 or Stage 2? I thought I would be limted to the Stage 1 tune.

Stage 1. Stage 2 is for those with headers.

I was suggesting that maybe the 3 inch catback and free flow air filter would put you near or in a Stage 2 tune. I guess the headers make a much bigger differance in flow even if you ran 2.5 inch pipes back with headers.

Catback won't get rid of the restriction in the stock header/cat the way an aftermarket header will. If you look at the dyno charts, you can only get rid of the TQ dip with headers. That gives you an idea of the difference in the tunes.

Need help guys...thanks

Anyone else get 20.44AFR & 34degrees advance on decel @ 0% throttle? Got this with both the "stock" tune and stage 1. A little extreme or just nerves? Saw anywhere from 11.7-14.6AFR & 11-15ish advance during acceleration, which she ran like a dream during. Otherwise beat every expectation I had for the OFT. Might have prematurely emailed the crew like a mother with her newborn :/

Stock header w/cat, 2.5" overpipe back w/cat-delete and Magnaflow cat-back. Plus, a K&N drop in on 91. Same gas station and pump as always (know their fill schedule). She ran better as the miles added up, but the consistent decel spikes got me paranoid!

20's under decel @ 0% throttle is normal, your coasting in gear.

Sweet, just paranoid. Appreciate the quick feedback sir. Now I just need a UEL and E85 tune. Please excuse the erroneous email shiv@vishnu. I'll look to the community first next time!

The highest AFR that the OFT will display is 20:1. Under deceleration (0% throttle), your fuel injectors actually shut off. So no fuel. That's so lean that i can't be represented in numbers

Glad the OFT exceeded your expectations on the road!

Cheers,
Shiv

Proper review

After 2 days of having the OFT Stage 1 flash all I can do is beat a dead horse and say that's how it should have come stock (2 day shipping even). The power gained is not jarring, to me, but more linear as like with a 335i. The tune is so smooth that is it more like a hot knife through butter. Oddly enough it seems quieter at idle and sounds incredible at WOT. The low-mid range power is dramatically improved. It became most noticeable when first installed as I was granny shifting during relearn. It was much more comfortable shifting to a higher gear at a lower speed while maintaining torque and not bogging down. Also, when cruising in 6th on the interstate. You seem to be in the heart of the power band and it made passing far easier while not having to downshift.

Can't imagine what a UEL and E85 tune would feel like, but I will try the E85 tune this weekend. Had my heart set on the Nameless header, but if the OFH is half as good as the OFT or the customer service I received than OFH it is. Although I did not have any direct contact prior to my purchase, shiv@vishnu was quick to address my concern with the AFR on decel after Danklvr reassured me the parameters were normal. Great product, great community, great car...now!

Thanks gents.

So I'm getting to the point where I need to start looking at my options for tuning my new BRZ.

I have a JDL UEL, a magnaflow CBE, and I've not yet picked up a FP/OP combo, but it's going to be some variation of a 2.5" OP and 2.5" FP with a high-flow cat. None of this is yet installed, I'm going to wait until maybe the 2k-3k mark before I bother.

As somebody who is familiar with using a Cobb AP, I assume that this OFT fills that same kind of niche with regards to the OTS tunes etc. etc.

Navigating the site, it seems like the tablet is $499 and then you get that same amount in basically OFT funbux. Is that right?

Do I need to spend those funbux on the OTS tunes?

Can I peruse the OTS tune library online? (I looked, but I may be too dumb to find it).

And lastly: Has anybody ran what is essentially an OTS Stage 2 tune for this similar exhaust config, using the shitty Arizona 10% ethanol 91 octane that is the best we get in this area? Cobb had specific OTS tunes for the "ACN" fuel (arizona, nevada, california) and I guess I'm wondering if OFT does something similar.
