haha yeah i dont know why i typed valve, my car actually will go to -20 during start up on a real cold morning. what table in rom raider is it if you dont mind saying? ive kind of looked around and my guess would be ignition timing post start?

EDIT: did some pulls with the new tune, it feels amazing. this is 3rd 4th and 5th. i know only 3rd is what you want, but i couldnt get off the throttle lol.

I have never seen any of my cold starts go below -15 so either the A rom allows for more retard or it never gets that cold over here :P Anyways the table to edit is ignition timing post start (see pic). Mind you I have not tried anything lower than -8 yet but I can confirm that with -8 the drone is much less.

I did not check up all the updates on 1.55 maps since I did not drive my car in winter.


I still have stage 1 1.42 map. major changes made in stage 1 in 1.55 map??? do I need to try it out??

I believe there were vvt revisions and learning revisions, reckon it is worth a reflash and probably a few thing we don't know about. you could always do a map compare in romraider

Dun really think u need if u are currently running on 1.55B ROMS as the latest update is added support for other ROMS without any changes to the existing ones.

as I understand it the 1.55 to 1.56 was only the addition of new japanese ROM support

And there is one 86 in japan that is that much happier! I wish my some of Japanese buddies had 86s so i could tell em bout OFT! Lol. Tunes are close to 2 grand here. The hks off the shelf tune is still like 1500!

i dropped mine to -8 for awhile, and then to -4. and -4 seems to be a huge improvement. we'll see in the morning when its colder. have you ever messed with the catalyst warm up tables under ignition timing-compensation?

This morning(around 0 degrees) the cold start came back with a vengence! Lol. Back to the drawing board.

Guys just flashed now 1.56b and did a little spirited driving and two 3rd gear pulls (Last part of the log)
How does it look the situation?

ps: 2bad i can't monitor IAM due to being EU, hope to see new datalogging features soon.
