FT-86 comes into view at around 4:05 and gets chased by a 325i until about 6:15. It looks pretty comfortable out there on the track.

^That's nice good 2 mins of FRS run! Hm... FRS didn't have much extra chassis rolls (which I'm happy), also no extra hopping on the bumps. Kinda lost to 235i is due to lack of tq

Nice find. Seems like the ft86 was braking way early for some reason. Seemed like the BMW driving had to slam on the brakes at every corner, and the cars in front of the ft86 would actually pull away from it in the braking zone, which is the opposite of what usually happens. Might've just been driver inexperience.

And let's be clear, it looks like it is a 325i, not 335i. A 335 should be flying by the FT without a doubt.

Thanks for the video. It looks like at a lower speed corner the car makes some understeer at about 4.37, but the engine has good torque. I am not sure but I think they made the bumper a little bit longer than the original video I saw of the car. It could be because they are trying to get more downforce from the front of the car. But it all look good.

Lol awesome find.. I was searching around, and I wouldn't mind putting something like this in the FR-S:
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/19/h...rived-2-8l-v8/ But for the price of that engine, We can just swap a 2JZ :P

I would also add that because this is an endurance race it's possible that the FT86 driver was operating under a fuel and/or brake conserve strategy...been there, done that...it's almost harder than driving 10/10th becuase you instinctively want to be racing with everyone around you and have to remember to dial it back a notch or two.

Oo, looks like a production/pre-production interior gutted for race. Anybody else notice the dash plastic looks soft? Liking what I see so far. If race spec is 1100kg (gutted interior, lighter seats, removed sound insulation, air bags, lining, etc), I'm guessing production spec would be 1200kg or 2650 lbs.

Nice vid! It looks like the FT's rear was kicking out around the 6:03 mark.
