That would be great if you can confirm/amend the aircraft hardware list and the instructions.
No I didn't use the steel M12-1.25 x 6mm thick jam-nut.
However there is another option to use the jam-nut with Hardened Spring Steel DIN 988 Precision Shim Rings to correctly clock the graphics.
I will ask Chad to supply 2 12X18X.5, 2 12X18X.2 and 2 12X18X.1 shims with each FR-S/BRZ knob:

This would be simpler (to aircraft hdwr) solution provided that the knob still hides the white plastic bushing for the reverse lock-out.

I conquer. For an960-6 you can substitute with nas1149fn632p and an960-l with 616p , I'm not a big fan of the lock washer instead I used ms35333-37 star washer Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347060919.446429.jpg

The lock washer should be optional.
I don't like any of them because they all generate metal shavings everytime you do a test fit.
Have you considered/found a suitable Belleville washer?

Communication is spottie with these guys and not everything communicated is true they would get neutral feedback from me. Saving grace is their sharp looking products.

So I got back from vacation and my shift knob was waiting for me. It arrived 8/31, so about 4 weeks after I ordered it.

I ordered the shorty grip tape black with a custom logo.

I took some pics, although some people above already have shown the packaging, etc.

Here it is in the packaging.

I think this is what they mean by "buttery."

Size comparison (I have fairly large hands).

They included a nut, probably for centering the knob. I ended up not using it.

Size comparison vs stock.

It's almost perfectly centered, although it's going to bother me until I buy the stuff that people posted above.

Next steps: drop 1 lb to compensate for reduced performance from heavier shift knob.

Turned out great! I ended up ordering the Aperture logo on the snowball. Hopefully I'll be able get some shots up soon. Thanks for the size comparisons and install shots.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Finally got mine in. I tried to capture the awesome white color of this knob and how amazing and pearl-like the shine is....I managed to do neither

Anyway there it is. It looks amazing although the engraving is a bit off center and smaller than I would have liked. Will have to see how it looks on the car when I finally get it next week.

Got mine! Used the jam nut to align it perfectly, didnt need anything special. I was impressed to see how heavy the stock one was, but this is a great improvement!

I am really thinking about the euro red e-brake handle and stitched boot to bring it all together....any input on that?
