What was your drive away price?

I'm at the Morley PTA getting license transfer once done I pop past Toyota to check it out

just got a phone call from my sales and he quoted me $40,133.18 for a manual GTS with met paint in QLD.

i told him why is it higher than driveaway price on TMCA website and he said dealer delivery is $2.5k. i was like WTF.

anyway i asked him to check the website and talk to his manager. he said he will email me the contract to show me the break down but i have just emailed him my calculation of the breakdown from TMCA site.

no discount, no freebie. i knew this would happen as i pre-ordered in Feb and if i play hardball now i will need to wait months instead of July.

oh well, end of rant.

I just went to check out the car.......it's not even there yet! Was told to wait another 2-3hrs lol The guy I spoke to has already ordered a tornado grey GT manual...didn't ask for how much...but he was bloody stoked about it lol....but he did mention that the GT manual is $35k. WHAT?!

Probs. But the site says $33xxx......I only went in to look at the car, not discuss prices...but I did ask him what the price on the TMCA site is about and the guy misunderstood me and said that 29990 is the RRP...lol anyway, when the time comes I'll ask them a tonne of questions about price. I have to say, thanks to this forum, I have gained enough confidence to recognise a rip off.

further to the below BS, the sales called back and he will "honour" the price on the website (WTF). they said the dealer delivery charge are different with each dealers and they have decided to jack it up.

i told him politely that this is illegal and they can't do that. but he said he will give me the website price. no discount or freebie.

anyway this is the highest amount i was prepared to pay so i guess i'm a sucker and couldn't do any better or wait for a few more months but for a few hundred bucks i get to own my car now instead of a few months wait if i start again and i will receive the car before my birthday so i guess i shouldn't complain too much.

ETA is 12 July. i must sell my car asap.

yeah sorted as per above so i'm paying exactly what's listed on the website and no freebie or discount. not even round down.

but oh well that's the price you pay to pre order months earlier.

So can anyone actually confirm who has a Demo sitting around at the moment?
I called City Toyota (Nedlands) The guy reckons he won't have one until Wednesday.

It's probably still at the Perth branch. The demo still had that clear plastic on the sides of the door and plastic covers over the seats. Had a white thin sticker on the bottom of the GPS unit too.

It doesn't have wheel caps on it either. The front and aft bumper plugs for the tow hooks are not their either. Looks like about a good 2 inches of foam on the front bumper(where the plug sinks into)

I called up my dealer (who quoted me high 2k delivery) and pointed out the online pricing and he just told me that was just the instruction they received.
He's happy to correct it to the online price without a fuss... Very happy costumer.

I can take a look at the car tomorrow afternoon apparently, after that just delivery checks and I'm off with it!

Morley red GTS auto for demo..... just been for a drive

Yep galleria has the gts for demo, as well as a grey one you can look at possibly externally. Been told they have a manual on the way but not sure if this will be a demo or allocation.
