I'm a little late to this, but I just picked up an LG G Pad (LTE) and am now thinking of doing something similar to the Nexus install. Do any of you have any experience with this tablet,or a comparison between them?

Not familiar with it... What are the dimensions? Also the main trick to this is timurs rom as it puts the tablet into a super sleep state. Not sure if you will find something similar for the g pad. But I'll help if I can.

Its: 7.45" (H) X 4.48" (W) X 0.4" (D)

I'm also looking at the JVC KD-X80BT head unit for the source:

I listen to a lot of satellite radio, and already have the JVC Sat receiver in my car which is why I chose this head unit.

Those should work fine using my process. I did swap out my dac for a higher end one to clean up the line. But other then that it should be a similar install. See if there is some other rom like timur that would work for the g pad.

Nice! If I see anything for you via the rom side I'll give you a heads up. Please keep me updated.

I already contacted Timur regarding ROM for the LG, so hopefully he'll have something for me.

Is the audio quality with/without a DAC very noticeable?

Thanks for the good write up, just waiting on a couple parts now. I ended up going with the AutoDroid 1.2 Rom because Timur took his Roms down.
