I was on the I-10 westbound reaching the 143 southbound on-ramp (east of Sky Harbor) going about 60 and a car pulled up on me quick. I sped up a little, assuming someone had somewhere to be, so I was doing at least 65-70 on the ramp which must be posted at 45, maybe less. The car was on my ass the whole way and as soon as I signaled to the middle lane, the cop car flies past me. :what: Never saw him turn on his lights or anything; he was just GONE.

I didn't know what to think for a couple minutes after that. Maybe he appreciated that I was trying to get out of his way?

A lot of what I've seen is that cops won't really weave in and out of traffic. They just kind of intimidate people to get out of their way. I've seen people in the hov lane not pay attention and have a cop speed up to them lights flashing and sirens blaring and they just wait for the person to get out of their way.

So I have been testing what I can do to better my cold starts on E85 as well as dial my MAF in which as most know is a never ending battle.

I think I accomplished one of them. We shall see in the next few days but I am betting I can now start my car one the first pull with E85 and not have to have such a high annoying idle. We shall see!

--Update--
So I did a cold start right now, cars been off for only 3-4 hours though in the garage... but it started right up and had a nice low idle. Tomorrow will tell for sure but I am hoping I got it!

When cops are entering a highway it causes lots of confusion if they have their lights on as they are to the right of everyone and some idiots will freak out thinking they are supposed to move to the right of the cop. So, typically they will get situated in the left lane before turning on their lights.

I've also been told that when they have their lights on when in a hurry people panic and change lanes and get in the way. Without lights on they can speed through traffic easier.

Alright it worked perfectly, nice clean start up and an idle around 1200 then on down. No pop's nothing! Now thats the way the car needed to start on E85, just like my Vette. Took me a little while though... things are a little different on these cars vs the Vette lol.

Yes if Emissions catches you without a cat you will be told to go buy one. Thats about it. Most of us run a test pipe all year then throw on the factory Mid Pipe with cat or emissions.... then promptly take it right back off.

However know that the factory Mid Pipe has a Cat and a small resonator so depending on your current exhaust setup it could get louder... which is why some (myself included) run a resonator.

Thanks for the info. Currently just have the invidia N1 catback, going to buy the invidia overpipe and front pipe.

Anyone here ever fought a photo radar speeding ticket?

Just sort of curious, ya know? hypothetically or whatever...
