A lot of cars these days are coming with decent Autos though. Surprisingly, sometimes you even see quicker cars as an auto instead of the manual. A new Ford Fiesta jumps to mind (even though the Auto has problems) as being quicker through Autocross testing then a manual. I think the reason for this was explained by the Auto being able to use the small amount of torque more effienctly then a manual.
The FR-S also is using the auto from an IS-F (or atleast tech from it) and surprisingly a lot of people like it. They say it actually shifts really quickly and smoothly. Most recently, Jalopnik test drove an FR-S and actually liked the manual more then they thought. So even though I'm not buying one, the auto doesn't seem that bad at all. Its only the EVO guys who didn't like the Auto so far. bneale |

Lansdowne is good for that -- edit lol:i just noticed you said "road". Near silvercity seems to be quiet. Or the very south of Richmond near the river. Where everyone goes to get it on...lol

Lol, I learned how to park in Lansdowne's parking lot, its always empty.
I think Mr Jay might be doing that Toyota and Lexus thing he got hired for, I haven't seen him on the board for a couple of days now. |

Ikaros, did you happen to read Ichitaka05's review of the FR-S? I'm not sure if your still debating on which transmission you want, but he REALLY liked the Auto a lot. If you haven't read his personal review, I suggest you do.

I go away for work for a bit and when I come back we got like 20 new reviews and Ichi is one of them. what the hell did I miss out on here haha.
bneale, I'm getting excited to hear this news just from the way you type it out. Yea I don't know too much about the event I am helping with just yet waiting for them to send me something Ikaros, I would totally teach yea but my current DD is a slushbox but the auto is getting a lot of praise so it won't be that bad just prob less engaging than the stick. sorry for my absenteeism from the forums I will be around a lot more now. The demo car was suppose to come 3 weeks after the autoshow so should be reall soon. I;m going to called ahmed today and inquire about it

Just finished talking to Ahmed and it looks like we aren't going to get that demo car thing as the cars are arriving much earlier than they expected Ahmed was saying that we will be getting our cars in May instead of the originally planned June.
Ahmed also let me know that if for some reason the cars have to stay at the port they will bring one in or let us go there and check them out. Also sorry bneale that Blue manual is mine lol Ahmed however was unsure on if the other GBS was a auto or not he did confirm that about half the preorders are for autos tho Forgot to mention I was kind of grilling Ahmed on the progress of the groupbuy and he was saying that they are looking in extended service or things along that line for us. Track day events was also something they were planning (I presonally said I rather save money than go to a track day mission track is kinda meh)

I know even though the BRZ's are coming early they aren't supposed to be released from port until June. That would be amazing if you guys were allowed to go to port to see your own cars. :P

So you get the first blue one, I'm trying to get the second blue one. But I'll be happy if I get red or white also. I just want blue first, then red, then white. White is 250 bucks more because its got pearl flake in it. But thats okay if I end up with White because its probably going to be that rare colour in the future considering it costs more money up front. Oh and on the early delivery... I did ask Ryan to tell me when I can come down and pickup the car. So I'll let you know if he tells me anything. He can be slow to respond to me though. bneale |

I can practically go down there myself and see it with my own eyes if I really want. I'm sure they have some sort of legal reason for this though. bneale |

Ahmed is working today? I'm gonna call him and ask if they have a MT asphalt. I did read Ichitaka's review, thats why I was so confused on which one to choose lol.

I'm pretty sure that he will tell you the only Asphalt they have is an AT. Not MT.
But see what he says anyway. It will tell me for sure or not if Ryan was correct in the first place! They do work in the same dealership though. bneale |
