Pre Orders are now available for both systems. I ordered one of each. Can I change my vote? My XBox shows pick up of Dec 31, and my PS4 Shows a pick up date of Jan 8.

Lots of really great looking games and slick features on XBOX One. Dumb DRM issues that I hate on principle, but have no impact in any way to my life based on my 20 years of gaming habits (buying new, keeping games, rarely lending).

PS4 looks to have some sweet titles as well, but I'm guessing disc will be required for all gameplay. In addition, they glossed over any kind of digital distribution of games, which will probably work exactly as it does now: want it digitally? Buy it digitally. Already own the disc? Too bad, buy it again. They took several low blows at MS (though rightfully so), but continued to showcase that their system is an in-line iteration of the PS hardware instead of a complete change in home entertainment.

Will have different demographics and different targets. Both will be successful. I'll end up owning both at some point, but the XBOX will be the first purchase thanks to Forza (which I have hundreds of hours between FM3 and FM4), and Dead Rising 3, sequel to one of my all time favorite games.

Except that all used games really worth playing now you need to buy secondary DLC and/or game passes.

Also, most of us gamers (you know, the people that are posting jabs at Microsoft), already buy all of our games the day of release while waiting in lines, thus effectively diminishing how much trade in matters.

Also, your PS3 is connected to the internet all the time anyway.

All of these issues are so minor and petty to quibble over, it just seems like there's more Sony fanboys.

Btw, like I said above, I'll buy both systems, and still probably play most of my games on my computer because my computer crushes both systems.

Honestly. I have always a PC gamer kinda guy. I used both 360 and ps3. 360 was sold in the first year, and ps3 now a collecting dust bluray player.

But after seeing both devices unvealed. I am going for Xbox One. Time for real movements control with kinect two. Kinect two won me over ps4 eye motion. I dont care what i need to pay, but as long as kinect 2 work as well as it was advertised. . . I am sold

I had always added pros and cons into my decision making when it came down to the two consoles and I can never justify purchasing them unless I've become mind boggling infatuated with a game I had to buy/play.

I also play most of my games on PC and this is because when I saw farcry 3 on my PCs graphics I went crazy. I was amaazzed at how it looked compared to the PS3 version.

I will give microsoft one thing about the Xbox and that's the remote ergonomic. It fits really well. Although its a bit heavy--I'm sure they could do something about that.

Still PS4. It is a more powerful console for 100 bucks less. I'm really excited about new games coming to PS4. FF14ARRMMO, FF15 and KH3? I'm sold.

Watching the Sony conference now, waiting to see how they'll deal with digital downloads. I just wanted to set you straight on something. If you buy a game and access it from another xbox, not only do you have to sign into XBOX Live from your account, but if your friend doesn't have internet, you won't be able to play for more than an hour.

Moving on, MS shit itself this round. The PS4 came in with better specs, MUCH less restriction, used games, no Kinect big brother system required, no half ass TV gimmick, swappable HD, and 100$ cheaper. They apparently went for a head shot. I didn't get to see the whole thing, but heard the final results. Kudos to you Sony, though I'm still probably going to be a PC gamer for this generation. My computer sits only a few feet away from my entertainment setup. All I need is an HDMI cable to enjoy it from my couch.

It will be interesting to see how many of the xbox fanboys buy the new one just because it's an xbox. I don't see any material reason to get one over a PS4 other than guilt of knowing you didn't support the PRISM laden MS. Maybe MS will change it's features before launch after reading all the backlash. I kinda hope so, because we NEED competition in this sector for more innovation. And no, the Wii U is not competition, it's a joke. LOL

Growing up I had a PS1 then a PS2, and I loved both of them. I ended up getting an Xbox 360 instead of a PS3 because it was cheaper, the ps3 wasn't released yet, and all my friends had 360s. Looks like I'll be returning to Playstation now lol

I will miss Forza though Gran Turismo always seemed a bit dull in comparison but hopefully the latest rendition is good.
