Looking forward to the rehosted pics! Glad you had fun and were able to get some dry laps in.

Sorry to hear of your inital troubles with your Eibach R2s, but it sounds like they are going to take care of them for you. I have to keep reminding myself that most every aftermarket part for these cars is essentially a science experiment, no matter how much testing the manufacturer claims to have done. Patience and optimism go a long way when sorting stuff like this out with a manufacturer.

The bright side is that now we can both probably disassemble/reassemble a BRZ's entire suspension while blindfolded.

You need to go to VIR next! I'd love to go there.

if your going all out... I would consider the carbon Driveshaft to get rid of more rotational weight.. New RPF1's 17x9's can be had for about 1050.oo shipped then I would get Used R-comps.. for about $100 ea.. depending on size your wanting..

Yeah, I have thought about that...just need to understand what FI solution I'm going to go with. I really like the idea of the carbon ds paired with the Innovate supercharger kit.

So much to do...so little $

Quick Update:

I received my fluid change kit from No Limit Motorsports. Mach V (local) was out of oil so I got lazy and just ordered from NLM. It came quick and as promised. I've got close to 5k mikes on the Motul 8100. I'm going to try and use the 300V this time around. I have about 8k miles on the car so I'm going to go ahead and change the original transmission and differential fluid.

I'm slowly building my tool inventory back up. I might pick up another pair of jack stands as I only have two. My collection is nothing impressive but I had zero when I bought the BRZ (moved and left my tools behind):

Random but I decided to start organizing all my invoices (still need to dig through some boxes and check my glove box):

I also played with my Torque app and made a real easy to glance dashboard for the track (to monitor oil and water temps):

I ordered the following and am awaiting to receive:
- FA20CLUB Front Pipe (Resonated)
- Alpine Stars 2013 Tech 1 Race Gloves
- Removable Vinyl Racing Numbers (rolling with 349 since that's what they gave me at Mid-Ohio)

I'll be taking my car to Summit Point (WV - Shenandoah Course) on the 29th with SCCA. I'm hoping to get some videos this time around.

Well call it an impulse buy

I ordered my Innovate Supercharger Kit (Stage 1 - Tuner)
- I plan to run water-meth injection
- Need to find a tuner who knows what they're doing

After thinking through the effectiveness of an intercooled version versus water/meth, I figured I could get more performance and bang for the buck with WMI.

Eh, you're adding a point of failure. Whereas the ATW is a closed system where you SHOULDN'T need to replace the water or have any failures, the meth system requires monitoring and setup of a failsafe. I'm waiting for the IC kit, but I anxiously await your results.

Exactly what I think when I hear someone wants meth. Those things are not built to do regular duty.

Yeah, I agree and I might move that way if the results are worth it since they're upgradable. The WMI adds knock insurance too which I like versus just cooling the charge. I'm also just very impatient

I plan to run a fail-safe. sw20kosh is running a nice set-up where when a system fail is detected it uses the bypass valve to restrict the boost to 2psi. I plan to also have a WMI and non-WMI map.

I'm not a fan of adding complexity but in my view it's worth it even though it might end up costing a few more pennies.

My goal is 250-260whp with the provided pulley. Hopefully explore a smaller pulley and injectors as needed to get another 20-25whp down the road...we'll see. Most of all I want something safe since it's my daily right now.

Update

TITLE - The worst experience I've had working on a car in my 15 years of working on cars.

Let me preface it with I have a track day tomorrow at 7am. I received my FA20Club front pipe (resonated) today. Tony at FA20club was kind enough to ship it overnight because he guaranteed me he could get it to me today. Customer service has been great.

So I removed my front pipe and when trying to put the rear gasket on the FA20Club pipe, I realized the pipe looked warped. Perhaps when the flange was welded on it warped that piece. Since the gasket wouldn't go over the rear of the pipe, I came up with the clever idea of dremel-ing the gasket. After about an hour I finally got some off but it still wouldn't fit and metal wires were everywhere...there goes putting the OEM pipe back on.

It's starting to get dark and it's been poring rain for hours. I'm soaked and get the next clever idea of just removing the mid pipe. So I did that and took it for a spin. Dear mother of god, this thing is loud as sh**. I don't think SCCA will let me on the track like that.

So my plan is to wake up very very early and try to mount back up the OEM system, at least a slight leak is better than what I got going.

I messaged Tony and he gave me a call immediately. He apologized and offered to swap it. So again I can't say enough about his customer service. After showering and a beer, I'm just frustrated.

Lesson Learned -- Don't modify/ghetto rig OEM parts the night before a track day. At least not on jack stands in the rain
