@tranz - like blur said, it's still in development... but expect to around $1,300 and higher. TurboXS's STI kit start from that price.

@blur - Yeah, they have fat tq... it's nice at the same time, your wallet gonna be crying more due to gas sucking. more tq = more gas.

If you are modding a turbo car for performance, I doubt you care too much about fuel economy if you are trying to make more power. Otherwise a turbo sports car is probably the wrong car to be in.

true, but at the same time I see tons of ppl down grading their tuning, why is that? Cuz of economy & gas price. 4 of my close friends detune their STI. Why? Cuz they can't keep it up w gas price. One of those friend make over 55k annually. Reality every week filling up $4 a gallon (for 91 octane here) do kill the wallet even for 55k annually ppl. To certain point, no it doesn't matter the gas, BUT when it start to see your wallet on fire, of course it does matter.

but you know you want to. That's the reason why you mod it, right?

255whp= ~320crank hp

While the GC is still heavy at 3300lbs, it still gives it a 11lbs per hp ratio. Not bad. If only the car lost a bit of weight and was closer to 3000lbs. The car sure has the aftermarket potential to be great.
They aren't to bad on the motor front. They are to porky though. It won't be nearly That fast though unfortunately.

Yeah they are a bit on the heavy side. But 11lbs/hp ain't that bad.

When I was stock weight 2900lbs I was pushing 250whp/260wtq at 7lbs. Turned it up to 9lbs for around 280whp/290wtq. That's a small 16g turbo setup.

Oh slightly offtopic but why did you ditch the turbo btw? I mean, you loooove boost and keep talking about it's impressive numbers and performance.

At a current curb weight of 2550lbs and 9-10lbs of boost, I will have 330 reasons why I don't care...

I've learned that fast is fast regardless of drivetrain.

Sponsor made me an offer to run their turbo setup. It was an offer I couldn't refuse. My old setup is not even close in comparison to my new one. Problem I ran into though was after selling my kit, I took a financial hit preventing me to return back to boost right away. So I've been UN-boosted for nearly 2yrs. That's about to change in about 2weeks. New manifold and setup should be done just about. Going to be faster than before.

How well does boost translate to track performance if tuned correctly? I want to boost the FRS when I get it but keep it conservative to retain a quick spool and throttle response.

That and aren't you gonna get massive torque steer?

PS: make a build thread here!
