Have mine going in for its first service on Wednesday and told them about the chirp, hopefully it'll be done properly with the latest revised pump and not just what is sitting on the shelf

soooooo. original HPFP was good. had it replaced for what ever reason. started chirping.

fuel running was 91 then 94. chirping started while on 94.

not sure what helped:
option 1) Following a honda guy who was going retarded on a highway while we were trying to get to a stretch and poke event ( high speeds, high rpm, high load), or:
option 2) Going back to 91 fuel.

The chirp is gone.

the last two setting that show the air blowing onto windshield automatically turn on the AC (even if AC light is off).
the ping is most likely the noise of magnetic plates engaging.
keep the settings on feet/face all the time to not get the ping.

atm this is not replaceable under warranty (as far as i know)

I was told by service guys to NOT grease it up (some ppl on forums did this), as it might catch on fire.

So, to make it clear...
You bought the car 350 miles or so ago.
x-250 miles, original pump.
250 - 354 miles, replaced pump.
Is that correct?
If so, then I believe your original pump was the new pump too.

That sucks. Is it loud enough for you to hear it from the inside of the car with windows closed?

************************************

Just FYI to the people who got their pump replaced, make sure your audio deck has the car type set to FR-S. Mine was reset to tC.

FYI to everyone. I put 500 miles in 2 weeks so far after the pump was replaced and there is no sign of chirp.

This is a little confusing whether the revised TSB is truly a fix. I'll probably wait a couple more months

My VIN is post production of the TSB. It sounds like I run a mobile bait shop at lights. Not too worried about it.

It's full on crickets, again. The new green dot HPFP is even louder than the previous pumps, so, yeah. Do not change your HPFP. Do not pass "go." Do not collect $200.
