I can think of a couple places where they used the wrong type of screw at the factory.

I was driving around trying to find a parking spot to go to one and they saw me, opened the gate and waved me in! Spent 3 great hours talking to people about my "stock car" and even won a door prize!

Soon, T, soon!

Pretty much I got this rig up to speed and am going to hang around this level for awhile until I get closer to that 60k warranty dropoff.

Like everyone else I could definitely enjoy more power. But I'm happy wih it as is. Csnt really mod seeing as how I opted for the extended warranty :s

My plan is too keep it completely stock excluding cosmetic mods for at least a year. To really get to know the car. Then all I have plans is wheels/suspension, brakes, intake/ exhaust.

Then jus leave it like that until the warranty is up and see how I feel from there. Until then I'll be saving up for a a Harley8)

I see far more stock FR-S' than modded ones. I'm in the rice capital of the US too.

My one is totally stock because:
A: I dont not have money for mods, my MR2 takes all of that.
B: In relation to above, Most decent mods have to be imported into SA, IMO , Thats the route I went for my MR and I have no regrest and no issues, However the piss poor exchange rate magnifies the issue in A above.
C: I dont want to have to deal with a no waranty car.

I do want to add a few things here and there just to make a it a bit different but until the waranty is over then nothing mechanical is getting touched, then after that I will supercharge.

I'm sure its a little different, not saying there isn't a lot of 86's where you are from but I see 30 a day at least in my commute from work and school alone (mostly stock ones). Hell our SD86club has over 300 members lol.
When I first got the car 2 years ago everyone wanted to talk about my stock car too, now not as much.
