Couple of things.
Nobody knows about this but the two school faculty members.....and all you guys, LOL. My wife feels sorry for the punk...go figure? I feel relieved that I at least I know who did it... Gonna try and get some legal advice before my next step, but seriously considering going to see the police tomorrow. We have decided to not go to the parking lot anymore. |

For example, you're in the school parking lot, the principal comes out and tells you to leave, but you don't. That's trespassing. Or there are signs up that say, "No Loitering," and you loiter. You're trespassing, but to really make that stick, someone needs to tell you to leave. Malls will often post rules at the entrances, with a clear statement that you are trespassing if you violate the rules. That establishes the trespasser before he even becomes one. If there's a "No Trespassing" sign, passing it establishes you as a trespasser. If there's a fence, that's considered an implicit message that the person who put that fence there doesn't want you inside it. So you can't go into someone's fenced back yard and then say, "But nobody told me to leave." When I was in news, we had the right to walk up to someone's front door and knock. If the homeowner told us to get off his property, we had to move out to the public right of way on the street. But we couldn't walk around to the back and knock on the back door, because that wouldn't have been considered the public side of the building. So if this is just a publicly accessible school parking lot that parents often use for parking when visiting the school, these people may not be trespassing even if they're just lurking in their cars. It really depends on the signage around the school and whether they've been told to leave. This is a lot different from going inside the school and walking around in an area that isn't supposed to be accessible to the public. So why are they not reviewing the video or allowing you to review it? What do they have to hide? |

Mine was more than 20k and I park as far away from the store as I can and ended up with a door ding. Had to be a hater to go out as far as me then put a ding in my door... I would call it jealousy, or just hating, but aren't they the same? |

So what are you going to report to the police? Times have really changed. Yeah I'm one of the old f**kers on the forum. When I went to high school most of us took the bus or walked because our parents could barely afford a family car. When my kids went to high school almost all the kids were driving cars to school, but mostly beaters. My kids drove our 12 year old, already banged up, Ford Aerostar. I didn't give a s**t if it got dinged up more, which it did. Today we feel like we owe our kids more. We want to give them the things we didn't have because we can afford it. Nothing wrong with that up to a point. Vandalism is morally and legally wrong and those that do it should be punished, but if you buy your son an almost new FR-S to drive to high school you have to realize the risks that go with it. One of the things I noticed is that there are some way more expensive cars in the HS parking lot than our car. This is a douche bag that has something against imports, plain and simple.
This is about one shitbag vandalizing cars. He also hit a Nissan sentra. That students parents should have known the risks of buying a Fawkin Nissan Sentra. See how stupid that sounds? |

Darn, still no proof the accused "vandal" has done anything to the FRS.
Here is what you do OP… You and your wife need to dig in a little deeper. Stalking in the parking will not get you further, you must now become one of them. Shave your mustache, get some "hip" outfits from your son and start hanging around him and in class. Attend social settings if you can, high school parties and school dances are a good way to start. The important thing is to blend in, and don't give yourself away. I repeat, do not give yourself away!!! I cannot stress this enough. Once you are "in", start asking questions around about the vandal. Slowly and steady, start befriending the vandal by taking the same classes. Tell him how much you hate imports, as well. When the moment seems right, ask the vandal if he would like to join you to vandalize some cars after class. Due to your conclusion that he has a dislike for imports, he should go straight to the FRS. Have wife record the crime from the bushes, while wearing tactical camouflage gear. If all goes as planned, it will result in solving the mystery! Sure, this will take time and effort, but seems like you and your wife have nothing else but free time. Please take precaution. I wish you luck on your mission! |
