Mine is has a radius throughout the whole thing - it's actually curved. It was relatively easy to stress in to place then weld all the strakes on to hold everything where it was at, but if yours is going to just have a little up-turn at the end that'd make manufacturing much easier! Another one of the reasons that I did a radius the way that I did is because I actually have a fullsize muffler (it's spec'd for a diesel truck - 3" straight through, 7" body diameter, 24" OAL) and the radius neatly tucks around that. It looks like you're going to be sticking with the straight pipe (resonated?) though, so a muffler and the space it consumes won't be an issue for you. Very interested to see how you progress with this project. I'm already looking at doing a V2 on mine since I learned as much about this one as I did. BTW, do you have any drive bys with your turbo and exhaust setup? I'd love to hear it! |

I only have one so far, it's poor quality. Sounds good still. I wish I would have gotten on it more, this was about half throttle. [ame]http://youtu.be/q7xmE1gJmqw[/ame] I worked more on it after these pictures. It was just too dark to get good pictures. Still trying to decide what to make it out of. Got supplies for final template(if it doesn't get accidentally thrown away before I get home). Should be interesting and match well with the splitter, which i want to make sure is fully cured before I put back on. We are suppose to get dumped with rain, and I don't want the splitter getting destroyed.

Ordered the Oil Cooler stuff.
- 12' Aeroquip Pushlock Hose (Black) - Mocal 45 Degree Titanium/Black Fitting x2 - Mocal 90 Degree Titanium/Black Fitting x2 - Mocal Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate w/ -10 AN fittings - Derale 16 row Oil cooler w/ -10 AN fittings Total Price of $427. It can be done for $305 if you use a Derale Sandwich plate, but it requires grinding a bit of the lip off the oil filter housing. It also requires a different oil filter, which doesn't appear to be available local most places. (Our stock filter is too small) Short Video my friend took of my first autocross. I have a lot of learning to do on autocross driving. [ame="http://youtu.be/R79y3xK89qc"]http://youtu.be/R79y3xK89qc[/ame]

Oil Cooler stuff came in early. Free Ground Shipping that ends up only taking 2 days FTW.
My only concern is how close these are. I am hoping nothing rubs with the hoses on. We will see tomorrow. Cooler itself should arrive in about an hour, UPS comes in pretty late.

How're you liking the FBM Radiator? I'm torn between it and the Koyorad one, but am unsure since the FBM unit apparently has difficulties with fitment.
Any issues or problems pop up for you when paired with the SBD kit? |

Got the cooler in. Looks really good, and feels solid.
Plans for mounting are as follows: That should move the most air over the cooler, and allow me to run the air guides on the side to help move air through the coolers and not around them into the bumper. The fittings that came with the cooler even came with an o-ring. Which I wasn't expecting. As a joke: The Splitter would make a great mounting point. I also plan on painting the intercooler black at the same time. Edit: Got some supplies at lunch. Still have to drive 30 minutes out of town to get an extra quart of oil. Plastic should help guide air into the coolers, and keep leaves out of my engine bay. The wood glue is because my splitter is splitting do to the glue wasn't applied thick enough. I thought it might happen, just wasn't sure when. Should be good to go after this.

Did a track day Yesterday. I found some issues. My brakes, although good, need work. I was getting some pretty bad fade and a very mushy pedal. The rear of the car is too light with the splitter up front.
Not sure I like the BP-20 compound. They felt pretty vague. Though I won't know for sure until I upgrade the rears from stock. I need to find the same compound pads for all around. Videos of the Track Day Yesterday. My friend was driving this group as his car wouldn't start. He was taking it a bit easy so He wouldn't hurt anything. For reference, He was 20+mph slower on the straight.
