I've uninstalled and remounted the front bumper on this car at least 20+ times on 5 to 6 different FR-S/BRZ and never once had this problem. There no need for different hardware besides the factory pieces. You guys are doing something wrong.

Dealer mechanics have been a unable to address this permanently. A good number of us have tried various attempts to get this resolved, even after only one removal. Statistically, I don't think we are all doing something wrong. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

I've heard of this problem from the dealer parts guy as well. I seriously don't see how they're having this problem. Even after getting into a slight fender bender, I was still able to get the side clips to seat properly on my own car, and every other 86 I've worked on.

If you are close by and want my help maybe we can make it happen. I've done a couple of "herrascrapped" slammed and barely drivable ones with same result. Didn't realize front bumper fitment was such a big issue. This thread is not the first time I heard about it.

I'll probably be working on the car this weekend so I'll give it one more attempt before fabricating something like the threaded bolt solution. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

Try making sure the bottom part of the bumper is positioned correctly before slipping the top portion over the radiator support. Then start messing with the side clips by the fender. See if that works out better fer ya. Last edited by solidONE; 10-22-2014 at 01:28 AM. |

Nice temporary fix, but you'll still have bumper sag over time. The sides of the bumper still need to be better secured. Which is why Move Over Racing has been developing the quick latch kit for our cars, just like that of their STI version.

I just bought a 2015 BRZ. When it cam off the truck, the front lower bumper where the 2 points stick out were scratched. Looks the the Guy who took it off tried to touch it up. He really thinks I wasn't going to notice it. Anyway, Subaru sent it out to a body shop to fix it. Well they took the whole Bumper off to paint it. Had it for a week. When I got it back it was nowhere near lined up and I went Nuts. This guy is telling me how great he is and his work is flawless b4 I got it back, So I called him and said, How can u let a car go out of your shop like this? Absolutely ridiculous. He said, bring it back, it will probably take a few minutes. It is just the point, I have to waste my time again with this. if HE SCREWS IT UP, I TOLD Subaru, I want a brand new Bumper plus the old one........I am going to try ir myself b4 I bring it back to this BOZO//
