Poll: Xbox One or PS4

Then don't buy one. We have a few hours till we find out what Sony has to offer. But in the meantime, there's also tablets, hand helds, board games and card games. My roommates and I very much enjoy Munchkin.

Thats not a solution to the fact that "i dont see how they can legally tell me i cant play something i paid for" kind of like if the board games u mentioned would be repossessed if u didnt call the company and confirm that u still owned it. Its idiotic. Will i have it on the internet 99.9% of the time? Yea. But what happens if my internet service goes out due to damage from a storm? "Not allowed" to play xbox offline for the week it takes comcast to fix the hub? Really?

So don't support their business then. I would much rather be able to freely share and use my games within the Family circle they describe. Simultaneously at that, which means we can play with/against each other with only a single disc. Considering their target demographic are those looking for a solid steady home entertainment system, and not a jump-around mobile system, this philosophy fits much better than any other implementation. That's worth it to me. Instant access to any game I own, from any console anywhere in the world, no disc required. Will be interesting to see if/how Sony has a similar feature.

Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."

Yea. As ive stated. Thats cool and im looking fwd to that. I have yet to be given a reason why the system would HAVE to be connected to the net (should some severe issue cause a lack of internet, god forbid shit happens) if i have MY xbox and MY game disc, whats the reason for requiring the 24 hour "check in"

PS4 for me, atleast on release. Probably end up with both of them, though. I'm definitely a gamer, since that's what I spend most of my time doing when not working.

What i'm waiting for is them to be done with E3, so I can look at the specs/info of the 2 systems side by side

They probably don't want you to buy a game, upload it to your cloud server, then give the disc to someone or even sell it. You could continue playing the game even after you don't have it if there was no way to verify whether or not you still actually had the game, since all the game data and accessibility is via the internet. You don't need the disc to play it, so they have to manage access to the game itself. Otherwise, you could literally rent and install or buy install and return every game without ever having to keep or own them.

Watching the Sony conference now, waiting to see how they'll deal with digital downloads. Currently, if you want anything digitally, you have to buy it twice, PS, XB, or otherwise, it doesn't matter if I already own the game, If I want the digital version, I have to buy it again. That mistake was made long ago with my PSP and the dozen or so games I had. Then it was the PSPGO and PS Vita, which could not play any of my games unless I bought them again from the PS Store. Pissed me off. I bought a PSP on launch day but didn't buy another of any of their handhelds since.

Xbox one all the way still only because I will get the PS4 later. Even though they have infamous, (gran turismo doesn't count till the 7th one), and kill zone plus final fantasy is coming out but those titles seem like 2014 so I have to wait anyways.
