Completely different motor and car but I had a VERY similar exhaust on my 370Z. It was the GReddy Turbo Ti-C 2.75" dual exhaust. I gained maybe 6whp and lost 2tq with the silencers out and gained 9whp and 5wtq with the silencers in. I can imagine it could be similar on this car.

You mean looking straight through the pipe? Basically it looks like it does with the silencers, but remove that insert that sits inside the tip. You get a straight through shot all the way to the first bend, nothing in the way without the silencer. Stick your arm in there if you want.

Probably a good idea. Anyone who doesn't want to deal with drone should be advised not to consider the Evo3 unless they want to stay with the silencers.

The conflict that I see here is why people spend money on a performance exhaust system and then put on a silencer that ultimately chokes down the flow. Lesson here is to buy an exhaust that isnt loud and still yields power.

That's exactly why I sold mine. I don't see a point in putting silencers in an exhaust. I would have kept it if I lived in a different area.

You can definitely feel the gains with this exhaust. Curious if whatever exhaust I go with next I will feel that (probably will end up with a 2.5 exhaust).

All of the exhausts I've seen with any tangible power gains have been relatively loud. It's the price to pay if you want to play, unfortunately.

It's definitely grown on me, I just need to get rid of this 3K drone. I'll probably end up clamping on an exhaust damper somewhere along the exhaust pipe. I definitely don't mind the decibel output of the system, I just need to get rid of that resonant in-cabin vibration.

I was actually going to put the silencers back in but my wife stopped me, she said she liked the sound. "Makes the BRZ sound like it's got some balls" - her words, not mine
