I got those same wheels but in stainless. How lowered are you and you experience any rubbing? Just asking to see what tires I may get when mine wear out. The black looks good.

Because 225. That's only 10mm wider than a stock GT86 here and stock width for a TRD86.

255 is the start of "meaty" really.

They are narrow. Hardly wider than stock. How is hardly wider than narrow ass stock meaty?

he is probably just referring to the look of sidewall/rim-not actual width. but yeah 225 isn't exactly meaty.

On a another note, the b14 Bilstein coilover up front is extremely wide i learned today- due to the giant progressive springs. A 18x9.5 +40 with a 255 continental DW with -2.1 camber up front with stock tophats adjusted camber with bolts will rub on the spring it self, had to add a 5mm spacer and pull out some camber-now purchasing top hats for that application (going with the velox ones)-figured this could be useful info as that is one of the best coilovers for the money if you want to go with that and a meaty setup i'd suggest top hats to avoid headaches in fitment.

Ya I'm simply referring to the sidewall look. Not a stretched tire, a sidewall that is "plump" or "meaty"

Sure they aren't much wider, but the contact patch is about a inch wider than the stock Primacy HPs.

Plus, I'm just on an e85 tune. So keeping a size close to stock is important for putting power down properly. Any sizes bigger is overkill unless you are boosted.

Yep, may be what you meant but in this case "meaty" means wide.

It's not about rear grip. It's about front grip. I'm on stock power but I still run 17x9 and 255s for cornering.

Your setup still looks good! It's just not meaty.
