Look, any branch of the military, any MOS or rating, officer or enlisted, all of it outside of basic training and recruitment posters is maybe 10% badassery.

Survival and success depend on order and adherence to process. It's not sexy but that's the bottom line. We all had specific jobs to do and we all did them.

Ashi, trust me. Your idea of soldiery, or at least how you describe it, is way off base. If you're interested in learning, then let's talk. If not, then please just let it go. It's truly offensive.

The only preparation I've made for when strangers come to my house is having a few tea bags in the cupboard. Just in case they don't drink coffee.

To call them "pussies and weaklings" because they are not all Brad Pitts or Rambos is the most disrespectful thing I have ever heard.

Take a look at this pic of your real Army. No fucking Captain Americas to be seen. Just young well trained NORMAL people!
Yup, surrounded by them. Even old and fat I think I could still run faster, lift more and execute with more violence than most of these momma's boys. Many of the guys I work with on the civian side are also former Marines and we routinely have to stifle the urge to have flashbacks and go old school on these kids.

I keep my favorite teabag in my pants. And I just dip and dip and dip.

Nah I am done with him. An opinion completely based upon video game and movie ideals and stereotypes is pretty hard to shake. He has gone way over the top with his insulting responses to everybody's comments so my best bet at this point is to simply ignore him.

I think the same thing when I see the young guys now but then I realize that I was once one of those fresh faced kids and that things have never really changed. They think they are every bit as bad ass as you did when you were at that level and they are probably correct. Bet things haven't changed as much as you think and when you were the young one some older guys was saying the exact same thing about you. It is a never ending cycle.

of course but it's socially unacceptable to hit a woman for a reason. never could wrap my head around the idea that it was ok for women to fight and get killed by enemies from foreign countries but not even remotely ok if a civilian hits one.

and no I'm not advocating or making excuses for hitting women.

I repeat this is not a case where you can assign stats and say "X is the better". There are just too many variables to be able to say. That show Ultimate Warrior was fun to watch but the way they determined the abilities was so arbitrary that the results were worse than meaningless no matter how many simulations they ran.

As for admin vs grunt, that really matters when you hit fifty. Bodies do wear out. Injuries skyrocket. A lot of firemen go out on disability because what used to do nothing actually injures them.

What do you do anyway? Turn tricks?
Basically, I keep underground structures from rusting.

There is a big difference between beating your wife because she burnt the toast and a woman being injured or killed defending their country.
