Nice, even at high rpm? I'll be putting an exhaust on in the future anyway so it shouldn't matter. I'm gonna get rid of it.

So it sounds like upgrading the stock intake isn't a bad route at all, thanks for the info everyone!

EDIT:

I'm going with the Perrin inlet:

Anyone know of a better place to buy this? I don't like the shipping on frsport.

I removed it just because it seemed like nothing more than a pointless waste of material. That and on the AirRaid they give you this port that's perfect for threading in a Nitrous nozzle should you decide too..... lol.

On another FR-S/BRZ Topic the OpenTablet upgraded the Firmware again today, so they have been steadily moving forward. Last week version 1.2 over their base maps was released with version 2.0 and E85 being promised soon. The Torque Dip on mine was changed drastically from stock and the Unichip just going to the 1.1 Maps, the 1.2 feel even better so I am looking forward to the 2.0.

Still waiting for Data Logging though, they have shown screen shots that they are getting close so it should be here soon but that does make it harder to tune for specific changes done beyond the base tune. However for now the car feel's great and no CEL's found plus the ability to turn on features in the PCM as well as turn off Cat codes has been worth it too. For a new product they do seem to be working hard.

Yeah I'm happy with my hose and filter setup. Think I got the filter and hose for 112 dollars shipped from zetaperformance sometime last year was a pretty good deal. Was worth is just to get that bulky noise generator out of there and clean up the engine bay

Checked it out, doesn't appear to be that cheap at the moment. I like the big curve that the Perrin has too

Vivid racing has the Perrin for the same price, going to either go buy there, or on eBay, no tax, free shipping!

You can get better pricing if you pm zeta on here or it might but up in the classifieds on the forums too that's where I got it.

Do you recommend that girl in your AV?

I have been looking at my rears ever since Yruyur posted about putting spacers on his rear hubs. All I have are those H&R's which shouldn't fit but I am going to check and a generic set of the thicker 5 lug spacer that you see at like Pepboy's. But because I looked I can see the rear's sit a little further in than the fronts and while the fronts look great... now I am annoyed.

So I guess tonight I will be playing with that.

Why is it bad to put stock lugs on aftermarket wheels?

Depends on the wheel, sometimes its just as simple as they are to big, other times its because the stock lugs are of a different design (This used to be common on Toyota's like the MR2) where they used more of a pass-through with a washer and a lip instead of an tapered down angle design.

Cause you need to spend an extra $200 bucks on those Rays titanium super light weigh lug nuts so you're toats JDM!

But for real, I couldn't use my stock lugs because they were not long enough. My wheels have deep sockets. Probably depends on the wheel.
