Looks like this answered my question:
http://www.toyota.com.au/86/prices?g..._86_GTS_Prices

at the bottom "Drive away price shown includes 12 months registration, 12 months compulsory third party insurance (CTP), a maximum dealer delivery charge, stamp duty and metallic paint (where applicable). "

The extra thou will get me some tint, speaker/amp install, hopefully the small spoiler when it comes in as well as some change!

I wish this info was available a week ago. My car was due to arrive next week. Now I have to wait until late July. Oh well at least I have a bit more time to sell my current car privately.

So do they distinguish what the cost of the metallic paint is within that price? I had it added onto my driveaway price of 39,500...

EDIT: they dont actually quote the price of the metallic paint but it looks like I have been overcharged. Excellent, that's another 400 bucks I can put towards coilovers and wheels

Website says driveaway price for GT manual is $33,843.21**......does this mean that that's the absolute maximum the dealer can charge me? And what IS the maximum dealer delivery fee that has been used to calculate this driveaway price?

That's the max a dealer can charge for a base car with no option/accessories.

The website doesn't itemize the figures but it doesn't matter. Just use the above price, add the price of all the accessories u want + it's stamp duty and that's the max price.

I too would like to know what this maximum dealer delivery fee is?

Also note that...
Code:
The drive away price shown is based on a vehicle being garaged in the postcode
entered, and on the owner being a 'rating one' driver aged 40 with a good
driving record.
Since most of us are younger than 40 this means that we will be paying more than what is stated on the website (CTP will be higher).

The price includes the stamp duty I think. I only want metallic paint, nothing else....and according the to the footnote, **the driveaway price includes yada yada yada.....the metallic paint price is included in the price...but then elsewhere it says that metallic paint is an option whose price needs to be added onto the driveaway price. Confusing or wah? I'll be trying to get the metallic paint included in the price anyway lol

The drive away includes stamp duty of car but if u add accessories u need to add the stamp duty of the accessories.

Anyway forget all the disclaimers, just put in your post code, select model, transmission and colour and that's your drive away price (subject to your CTP). Please don't look too much into it.

Metallic paint is included on the website drive away price. Just flick between red and another colour and you can see the price go up by a little over $400.

Just want to know what they define as max dealer delivery because I remember someone posted before that TMCA was telling dealers to charge $1895 (I've got $1995 on my contract).

Guys, ignore all the detailed amount on the contract and just focus on the final price and all the stuffs that are agreed are included on the contract.

I don't care if they put 20,000 as delivery charge as long as I'm buying the right car at the right colour with the right options and Rego period etc at the agreed price.
