Anyone experiencing that on their twin and found a way to fix it?

Probably need to replace the rear tophat with something better.

If you have a rattling noise and it's related to coilover install, usually it's one of two things (assuming all other things are tightened properly):

1) strut nut not torqued down properly
2) pillowball is defective

It happened to mine. Have to take the coil off and tighten the nut.

@mav1178 hey Alex, wondering if you have experienced any spring bind issues? I'm hearing a bit of spring bind at full lock on the left; can tell that the top 2 spring "circles" are rubbing against each other only at full lock. Also using RaceSeng top hat with their custom perch (which already includes a thrust bearing).

Wondering if you've experienced anything similar.

I've started noticing a single "click" noise from both rears when starting from stop (and once in a while during shifting), but nothing else during driving ie over bumps, etc. Over last week, it started to turn into a jingling noise (like loose change). Looked around to re-torque everything and noticed that I've lost one pair of the locking allen screws (for height adjustment) in the passenger front coilover. Gave Ohlins a call to order another set and just cranked down on the other allen lock for now and re-torqued everything else. After getting back on the road Monday morning, clicking still persists...

TLDR started hearing clicking in the rears, turns out front height adjustment lock was loose/gone, torqued everything down, clicking still there

So far only time I've had any "bind" is when I go full lock, and attempt to drive up into my driveway which has a fairly large incline. But it only happened twice and I have yet to replicate the issue since.

@mav1178 hrm okay so it's not super uncommon, similar conditions for me but a bit more often, only at lock.

Yes, but I should note that I have had it twice and only when I attempt to go up my driveway with a full steering lock.
Has never happened anywhere else, on track nor on any of my roadtrips in the past 18 months.

I do check the suspension about once a month (esp before/after track events), have to say these are probably the most maintenance-free coilovers I have had (and I've owned a lot).

Call me crazy but would it be possible to remove the front Ohlins camber plates then re-use the front OEM top hats? Where I live pillow ball mounts would not pass inspection. I know I'd lose camber adjustment and have to live with however much negative camber I can get with camber bolts.

Ohlins actually sell the R&T kit without the top mounts here in europe. You might need to special order it in the US though.

Suggest you talk to your Ohlins importer locally, what they sell in Asia is different than what we have here.

US vehicle "safety" inspections are a joke.

As far as I know, only Japan has its own version of Ohlins R&T with 9k/7k spring rates. The rest of the world gets the same 6k/6k with the same top mounts.

I thought they were 6K/6K?

Also I'd like to as the owners of these dampers about the damping quality at low speeds (20~45MPH). How is the ride quality over small bumps and undulating road surfaces? Also How they perform if you bump up the spring rates without a revalve. Thanks! @mav1178 @Dezoris @Racecomp Engineering
