Not sure if I'll install it on the car, but it does require two holes to be drilled into the wing and clips mounted, from what I could translate from the instructions (in Japanese).

Big disappointment.

I wish japanparts.com had disclosed that information. However, they shipped super fast!
Damn! mine comes without badge and clips!

No drilling required. The tape holds just fine. Just put some adhesive promoter to be conservative. Cut the bolts to half size and they will snugly fit into the holes. What I did on mine was buy a replica metal sti badge (matches the badge on the lip and side skirts) to replace the sticker.

That sticker went straight to my dashboard.
I didn't want that strip on the outside of my car cuz frankly, it doesn't look all that good

I didn't want to pay for the price for the official one, so I made my own. It cost ~$25, and took me 30 minutes to trim and attach.

I picked up an m3 trunk spoiler and trimmed it down to fit the BRZ.

Neat, is this solution more solid than the rubber STi thingie? And more importantly, can you paint it?

Wonder if the effects on the aerodynamics are the same. It IS shaped differently.

It is definitely more solid than the sti lip. You can paint it, but I think you will have to be more careful about shaping it. I was able to get it soft enough to shape by leaving it in my car, in the sun and then use the tape to hold it in shape. You would probably have to shape it with a heat gun to the rear wing then paint it so that the paint wouldn't crack from bending it.

As to aerodynamics, I'm not sure either makes a huge difference at normal speeds.

How did you get it to stick on the wing? Double sided tape? Looks good from what I can see and you probably saved a cool buck.

It's attached with 3M tape that actually came on the lip! I am very happy with it, although I can see a few imperfections with how it is laid...nobody else notices until I have them run their finger along the back edge and I point it out.

Of course I could pull it and re-attach it; but I'm not up to that. Maybe if somebody points it out with out me bringing it up.

Nice work! Was the trimming just on the ends or did you actually have to cut somewhere else? Dremel? A write-up would be great if you have one
