But no one has dynoed these new 2017 tunes. So, what comparison between these canned tunes do we have for 2017? I know my car in 2014 was faster on a stage 2 tune than my 2017. The mid range on the 2017 is much better, but the top runs out of breath past 6500 rpm. That is where the peak torque is supposed to be.

I wanted to do a uel header and a tune. Maybe I'll just do an axleback exhaust just to gain some nice noise instead. At least until all the 2017 tunes have been figured out.

That's coming on wednesday, I have 4 dyno pulls that I'll do 2 as a baseline, and 2 with the Stage 1.

I had scheduled it weeks ago just so I had a number to know before I started doing mods, but I figure it would be a great time to get some actual evidence. I already emailed Shiv about it a few days ago asking if there was any "final" version or an actual 93 version before I dyno'd it and got no response.

So what's better than an actual dyno!

If anyone gets me a header in the next 2 days to put on and try xD

Sadly I'm doing a bonestock baseline, and then the Stage 1. The main point of the dyno was to get just a bonestock base at my local dyno so that when I do go UEL header eventually I can compare the gains. But since I don't need all 4 runs for a baseline I figured I'd try the stage 1.

I'm lurking and watching with interest. I have a 2017 BRZ that I've been thinking about tuning with OFT. It's likely i'll be keeping the car mostly stock for warranty reasons. OFT appeals to me because I can flash back, and it's very difficult for them to tell it's been modified. So long as there's some kind of gains to be had. I'm not all that fussed about getting much extra peak power, If I got some improved torque in the dip i'd be happy, and perhaps some improved throttle response.

The only issue is i'm from Australia, and perhaps this is incorrect, but I've been told our fuel is slightly different to the US fuel. The way I understood it, is what you guys refer to as 93, we know as 98 RON. But someone has suggested this isn't necessarily the case.

Everything I've hear is that 98 RON is somewhere between US 91 and 93, so you should be good to go, especially becuase of the reply I actually finally got from Shiv:

"At this time, the OTS tune files for 2017 cars are for 91-94oct. You will see that the tune is not too conservative for 93oct. We do have E85 tunes ready to go which will be more aggressive than the gasoline tune. Do you have access to E85?"

If anyone knows where I can get E85 near South New Hampshire/Boston area then I might have to try this out for autocross

And today's DYNO DAY!! Will the stock tires hold onto the dyno well enough or do I need to swap to my RE-71rs?

I believe there's E85 available about 5min walk from my house. So that's also an option for me.

Did he give any indication of when the tunes will be officially released?

Good luck with the dyno. Eager to see your results, and how much difference a tune makes on a stock 17 car.

I think you guys who are on the fence all need to email bomb him. With something like "I'm interested in your OFT but the 93 octane tunes are taking to long for the 17's. If nothing comes out soon I am considering ----- tune as I have headers on my car and need a tune".
Fear of losing $$$$$$$$ may be the only thing to get Shiv off his @ss and complete this.
