nice choice with that 85mm 1.4... I'm not gonna spend any more money on dx lenses as of right now I'm waiting to see how good the d800 really is lol i really do hope it has video option. t would be nice to record in some cool lenses like a fisheye or a wide lol

I bought a DSLR for my holiday to canada in september last year
these were taken with the 18-55 that came with it

it's a Canon 550D

I have tended to heavily photoshop my stuff so far, but i'm a web designer and use photoshop for my day job so i guess it's expected :P

Sunset at Pyramid Lake Jasper

Trying out some HDR

Still learning though - I'm hoping to go to some local drifting/motorsport events soon

None of mine were on fantastic cameras. I don't know much about photography either, but I'd thought I'd post some of my favorites that I took from the gorgeous places I've visited.

I ruined this photo, but, from it you can glimpse how awesome a sunrise it was.

Location + black bmw = very moody shot. Would've been nice to have a softbox at the front and side of the car to highlight the bmw's lovely curves and nicely expose the wheel features. But then again, softbox = more money...

Am I just weird, or does anyone else despise HDR?
It makes my eyes want to puke.

My friend got me into photography a while back and I would definitely call it a hobby of mine now. I mostly take travel and racing/auto pictures. Here's some samples:

My gear: Nikon D80, Sigma 10-20mm, Nikon 35mm f/1.8, Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, & Nikon 70-300mm

He's small, but there's a little lizard on the rock.
