Yeah center is removable so airbag transfer won't be an issue.

Have now installed an android head unit that will work with carscope and torque apps. Personally I prefer carscope with my HKS OB-LINK.

And look what I have on my dash now - gauges incl oil temp.

Can also play music and have gauges at the same time as this Bluetooth dongle will work with my USB stick plugged into my cheap USB hub.

Special big shout out to @2forme who has been very patient with this car stereo and android virgin and of course supplied the most valuable root files and @Narcoden who with a couple of sentences gave me the encouragement I need to try the install myself.

This is the unit http://www.tradesolution.hk/e/ptxweb...duct/1274.html

To get torque and/or carscope working on this head unit you need to root it following the directions on post 1 on this thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29723 with the root files linked to. You also need an ELM327 or HKS OB -LINK and a compatible Bluetooth dongle like this one http://dx.com/p/ultra-mini-bluetooth...r-black-146349

Also runs race chrono for timing really well. Others have it running the torque app but I prefer carscope with my HKS OB-LINK.

Sorry about the quality of the photo but you get the gist.

Old photo showing fitment - perfect with stock mount and bezel, no alterations required

Haha! This is great Love the car!

True, the TRD seats do look great. I looked at the option of the full sport seats and the semi-bucket.

The full sports ones need the proper racing harness seat belts and for a daily driver would be a hassle with no reclining either.

I looked at these semi-bucket TRD ones that still recline but didn't go ahead for two reasons. my heated seats wouldn't work with them and the side airbag needs to be turned off - as a daily driver i want all of the air bags. They do look sweet though and not too expensive for a pair.

Never been a fan of body kits/mods in general...with that being said...your car looks bad ass! Very tastefully done and doesn't ruin the sweet lines of the FRS/BRZ. Nice job!

I originally ordered dark grey in mid June 2012 but Toyota New Zealand stuffed up and didn't tell me there was no dark grey available for me until after they had sold to subsequent people all of the other colours except red.

To their credit they agreed to sell me a red GT86 (same as Oz GTS86) and sign up a second agreement trading it in for full purchase price for when my dark grey arrived. So, three months to the day later, 5,300km and three track days in the red GT86 and finally traded in today on my fully loaded official TRD86.

It is officially TRD number 4 in New Zealand. Only 20 are being built.

The TRD stuff may be expensive but I love it.

So, it has been a long wait but here she is:

She includes all of the "standard" TRD upgrades for an authentic New Zealand TRD of:
1. Full Front Bumper
2. TRD Side skirts
3. TRD Rear Boot Spoiler
4. TRD REar Badge
5. TRD 18" Forged Wheels
6. TRD Quad Muffler
7. TRD Sports Air Filter
8. TRD Brembo Brake Kit
9. Michelin Pilot 225/40 R18 tyres
10. TRD Start Button
11. TRD valve caps for tyres

Then, I ticked all of the other TRD options I could get at the time (or have added now!) including:
1. TRD Carbon Strut Bar
2. TRD Stabiliser (sway bar) set
3. TRD Coilovers with recommended 15mm drop (you can see the yellow of them in the pic of the wheel below)
4. TRD chassis rigidity kit
5. TRD Shift Knob
6. TRD Fuel Cap Cover
7. TRD Door Stabilisers

And, after all that I added:
1. Tints
2. Paint and fabric protection (Gardx)
3. Personalised slimline plate
4. Armrest
5. Monster Sport Mats

And, have coming:
1. Rally Armor Mudflaps

I ticked so many options I may have forgotten some in the lists above!

Here's the full gallery of build and the final product:

My carpark with swim noodles on the iron rails and foam around the concrete pillar, just in case!

HKS OB-Link installed with Samsung Tab 2 &" tablet in windscreen suction mount

Recent photos taken 6 January. Taken by Plimmerton beach near Wellington, New Zealand.

I love this colour...

Latest TRD branded additions and a couple of photos 17th March 2013

1. Silver indicator bulbs
2. Lug nuts
3. Leather keyring
4. Side stickers
5. Belt pads (cheap knockoffs)
6. TRD racing logo for top of back screen
7. New Zealand 86/BRZ club sticker - bottom of rear winndow

Photos from Toyota New Zealand festival of fun Sunday 17th March 2013 at Taupo Motorsport Park, New Zealand

Damn! Did not pay attention to it earlier but it's clearly evident on your picture that they did that ugly green backlight for the TRD push start knob! Just got mine and now thinking whether I want to install it... With all the rest being red - why this ugly green??!!

Hadn't noticed it myself. It is not very bright at all just really a backlight.

Now you've pointed it out I'll see if it annoys me! Mine came with the car so no choice anyway and completes it well.
